Abigail had been feeling strange ever since she got off her bed that morning. It was like an awaiting feeling, that something today was bound to happen. With who? She didn't know. But it seemed to bother her a little bit that it was her first day of school and she was already having mind issues and doubts. School wasn't that bad, for her to be honest. She just didn't like the teachers and student in it. But she was judging to quickly, and she still hadn't arrived there in the first place.
It was the middle of the semester, and she swore to herself that she was going to focus on her studies and nothing else. That's if she wanted to go to college anyways. Her main love was music, and she was setting herself a goal towards it. She looked in the mirror, she had already her make up done, which was natural and she was wearing the most innocent outfit she could find since she didn't want to drawn attention to herself. Abigail wasn't an outcast. She usually was the one everyone wanted to be around with. But this year, she had decided to leave that all behind. She didn't want boy drama, nor friend drama. Besides, it was good to make friends, but she didn't want to be the one to out shine. She wanted to be just like everyone else. Normal. Yet, they said normal was quite overrated and she didn't believe them.
She hopped in her car, it was turning to be really cold outside. Though the cold didn't bother her, she was forced to put a leather jacket over her red, spaguetti strap top. It felt good for once, not to try and be good enough for everyone else but herself. She arrived at school quick and early, without having to say goodbye to her foster parents. She arrived so early at school because she wanted to catch up with the teachers so they could know that she was new but not to make her say her name infront of the class without ever wanting to in the first place and to get her locker and text books in order.
She settled and found her locker. Then looked at her shedual, and found that History was her first class. Well that's great, I get to sleep more. She thought. For her, History was the most boring class ever. yet, it made her smile at the thought of skipping that class. But then she shook her head, she had to remind herself that she was starting over and she couldn't rely on her puppy eyes and what not. Abigail was asking everywhere, where the History classroom was and everybody sucked at directions, or maybe it was her that sucked at taking directions in the first place. Until she found someone that actually lead her to the classroom, his name was Ben, and she was sure that she was going to remember him for a lot of time.
She knocked on the door, before entering the classroom. "Excuse me.. I'm sorry for bothering but I'm kind of new at school and wanted to get things settled before the class started.. Her voice seemed almost shy and innocent, which fit perfectly. Because now, it was time to turn her teacher's pet switch on. She flashed a brilliant smile towards the man the she laid eyes on, he was handsome, and she couldn't believe that he was the teacher, but there was nobody around so she guessed that he was. "Hi there.. I'm Abigail Saltzman."
