These are the rules of the site, please be sure to follow them so that things run smoothly for everyone. And you will find the phrase in the rules that you need to have in your application. To be able to join we would prefer you to be over 13 years of age, not only because it is in the Proboards Terms of Service, but also because this site is aimed for intermediate roleplayers and if you are younger than 13 it is likely you do not yet have the skills to keep up with other members, but then again, we could be wrong.
Registering:
• Please do not register then "forget" to make an application, we will find out and it is likely that your account will be deleted.
• Please do not make a character and then disappear. It's more work for us and it doesn't make us happy to have to archive all of your stuff.
• We are accepting both canons and originals! [/ul]
Bumping:
Claiming a Canon Character:
• Reservations for a canon last a week from the day that you started the reservation. Be sure to create and complete an application by then if you wish to keep your canon.
• Once your canon character is accepted, you will be on a week’s watch to see if you are actually being an active member, doing more than just minimum posts. You are a canon character, meaning that they are crucial to the site and the activity of the site itself.
• You must be around or you may lose your canon character! Canons are a very important part to getting the site's plot started, so if you can't post for an important role at least once a week, it may be best that you make a minor canon or an original character.
• As a canon you must post 4 times a month, or once a week. We have created this rule to help members keep active and to keep the plot going.[/ul]
Applications:
• Please post your application on the correct board (Pending Applications).
• Please follow the appropriate coding that is given in the application template and answer all of the blanks with complete answers. We love detail, so don't be afraid to go into detail.
• When you are accepted your application will be moved to the accepted section, we will reply to your app with an approved banner to let you know that you are accepted. After you are approved, you should make your claims at that time.
• When filling out the application, please do not use one word or one line answers for things that may require something along the lines of three paragraphs. The suggested lengths are there for a reason. If your application is lacking in detail, we'll tell you. Be specific, it'll help you get to know the character and it'll help other members get to know them, too.
• No character is perfect, and no character is all-powerful. This also includes older aged creatures. No extremely old characters unless it is a canon or it is approved. Because with an old age, comes great power and we can't have power hungry characters running around.
• Do not post an incomplete application and expect to be approved. All sections must be filled in. If you're not done with your application, please put (wip) or (nd) in the title.
• Please do not post extra pictures, flash images, or videos in your application. Only post those things in your signature if you want.
• We accept both canons and originals, but we are far more lenient in the application process with canons, for the simple matter that they are integral to the overall plot of the site. However, if you'd like a canon character that isn't listed, don't be afraid to ask in the Cbox, or PM a staff member. When it comes to making a canon, make sure you research all of the information you can about them and make them as close to the show character as much as possible.
• Please post your application like this: First name last name - species - show verse character is from (wip/done).
• Please use the application template to post an application. The template is there for a reason. It asks the right questions and is in a format that we are familiar with. If you post your own version of an application, you be told to use the correct template. Failure to do so will result in a denial.
• Please use a real person for a face claim. Using a real celebrity helps us to picture the character in our minds. No anime. No cartoons. Real celebrity images can be photoshopped if you ask a graphics person or make a request in the graphics board.

Advertisement:
• Members, please do not advertise in your signatures.
• Please do not PM advertisements to other members. If they want to look at your site, they can look at the ad on the advertisements board.[/ul]
C-Box:
• No advertising in the c-box. That's what the advertising boards are for, though members can mention sites, just not post links like crazy.
• No flooding the c-box. It makes the conversation hard to follow. Try to say all you can in a sentence or two.
• The main c-box is OOC only. But if you'd like to IC roleplay, look to the right of the site and hit the "IC CHAT"picture to reveal the in character chat box. There is where you can act in character. Please register with your characters name and image in the C-Box for IC.
• Please try to keep your c-box username(s) somewhat close to your character name and/or your alias. It gives us something to call you and it makes things easier to remember.[/ul]
Roleplaying:
• When writing dialogue, please put your speech in "quotation marks" or bold it so we know the difference between what the character is saying and what they are thinking. Many members also use color codes for dialogue which can really help determine what is speech.
• No god-modding! It's rude and will not be tolerated. If you want to do something in a post that takes away the other person's choice, ask them first. Also, if you do so, add an out of character (OCC) note at the end of your post letting us know you had permission to do what you did.
• This is a literate site, so please use proper grammar and spelling. There is a 250 word minimum for all RP-related posts. Most of our members posts are a great deal longer than that.
• If you want to get a character pregnant, ask a staff member first so we don't have tons of pregnant characters. Same goes if you want to kill off one of your characters. Just let us know first and the character being killed off of course.
• When speaking out of character (OCC) in a post, please make sure the text is before or after the main body of your post. Also remember to use ((brackets)) around your OCC speech.
• Sex. Try to refrain from giving us details. We know it happens, but try to be discreet. The best solution is to simply do a time jump stating that something did happen there but do not give details please.
• Please be patient when waiting for replies. Most of us have real lives outside of the site. We'll get to it when we can. If an abnormal amount of time has passed, just PM the person to let them know it's their turn.
• Please let a staff member know when a thread is done so that it can be moved to archives.
• When tagging someone in a post, please make sure they've agreed to be part of the thread first. All threads should be labeled to let other members know who can reply. (e.g. Thread Title (open) Thread Title (tag: Damon) Thread Title (tag: Damon/open) etc.) [/ul]
Activity:
• If we find that members playing canon characters have been absent for upwards of three weeks, without providing a reason, we will delete their accounts without warning. It's annoying when members who take on canons disappear halfway through plots.
• If you are planning on going away for a long period of time, please post in the away board so we know you'll be back.
• As a canon, you need to post once a week. For normal oc's, it's once a month at the very least. Of course we encourage much more.
[/ul]
Absences/Leaving Temporarily:
• Please fill out the temporary absence form so that we know what's going on and can give you a free pass when it comes to activity checks or any other important reasons.
• If you are gone for more than the form indicates, please come back to either update it or let us know, so once again, that we don't think that you just decided to leave the site.
[/ul]
General:
• You may not request a person for a face claim who is already claimed by someone else. It's just silly and we will most likely laugh and ignore your request.
• You are not allowed to join an RP thread until your character application has been approved. Any unapproved posts will be moved to "hiatus" until you have been approved by a staff member.
• No text-style language (e.g. c u l8ter).
• Be nice to one another. We understand that there will be personality conflicts and arguments and such, but that's no reason to personally attack someone or be rude. If you have a problem with someone, tell staff and we'll get it sorted out.
• Please don't double post. There is a "modify" button if you wish to say more.
• New members are allowed to start off with more than character. There is no limit on how many characters you can have. All we ask is that you just don't join and create five characters and only continue to make more without roleplaying your current characters first. Also, just try not to overwhelm yourself.
• Remember that one post needs to be done weekly by each of your characters if they are canons. If you fail to do so, your warning bar will continue to raise until we just straight up delete you. Also, you'd be able to notice the warning bar if you just signed online. So please, be active!
• Activity checks shall be run as well every month or two so we can keep track of those who are actually active and those who gave up on the site.
• If you still have any questions, please post in the questions board and a staff member will get to it as soon as we can. Our staff are few but if you have any urgent questions, please PM Head Admin Schizo Wolfe or Co-Admin Bellz.
• And the most important rule of the site is: Have fun at Worlds Collide, we look forward to meeting you![/ul]
In the anything else section of the application, please put this "I'm a junkie for the supernatural creatures."
