So she was alive…well alive-ish. Alive and hungry. She still hadn’t been able to talk to Stefan. But she had learned that Elena had chose Damon. Ew! Really? Of all the guys in the world, the girl picked Damon Salavtore. If Lexi had heard the news several years ago, she might have just crinkled her nose in disgust and been done with it but the male had killed her. The dagger was forced through her heart by his hand and her best friend could only stand there and watch in horror as she crumbled to the ground. So she had died, only to be brought back…again. Would her time fade like the last time? In truth the vampire had no idea but she knew things were different this time. The light of the sun burned her skin and she was hungry. Really freaking hungry. Ok so maybe she was really here; really here for good. This was the second chance that she wanted. She might have been alive for three hundred and fifty years but she was done with living. If she knew him like she did, Stefan needed her around. The boy was just too volatile to be left alone for too long. That was one of the many reason she always came to see him on his birthdays. Stefan might have never admitted it, but the boy needed his yearly dose of Lexi.
Stefan hadn’t been at the boarding house and the blonde didn’t have a clue what his cell phone number was. Where the hell had he been? It wasn’t like he had a job that he had to rush off to. Was he at school? Well he did pose as a high school student. But it was just after dusk. A small growl of frustration left her lips. There was no way she would wait around the boarding house for her best friend to show up…even if he was still in Mystic Fall. There was too much of a chance that she would run into Damon. That vampire had a death wish if he so much as looked at her. Bastard killed her, shoving a stake deep through her heart. Whatever diabolical plan that he been working on had better have been worth it. With no Stefan to point her in the right direction for the nearest blood bag, the girl had to improvise if she wanted to get a meal.
The Grill might have not been the best place to feed, given the last time she was there, she was staked. But she had to feed now. Hunger burned in her belly, causing a dull ache to grow more and more painful. Soon Lexi knew she would become a danger to the humans around her. Whoever had brought her back from death could have at least fed her when she was resurrected. There was no way she could hurt anyone by being foolish. The plan was easy. Compel someone to come with her to the bathroom, feed, give a little blood, compel again and send them on their way. Easy right?
---------------
A smirk crossed his lips as she extended her hand to the young man. He was about nineteen to twenty. All she had to do was purr gently in his ear to get his attention. Once caught in her gaze, the rest with flawlessly. Humans were far too easy to manipulate, even without compulsion. As much as she respected humans, they sure were easy targets. The brunette nodded that he understood with a vacant stare as he followed her wordlessly into the bathroom. Quickly she locked the door and ceased his throat. A soft snarl escaped his lips as fangs extended. With a quick jerk, the male’s head moved back and pearl white teeth plunged into warm tender flesh. For a few minutes, the warm rich crimson flowed down her throat, satisfying the hunger that raged through her.. Blood dribbled down the corner of her mouth as she pulled away. Giving the wound a few laps with her tongue, she looked at the boy, woozy from the loss of blood. Biting her own wrist, she told him to drink. “Now go wash up and forget that you ever saw me.” Again he did just as she requested.
Wiping at her lips; making sure no trace of blood remained, the blonde vampire moved to the bar. Sniffing the air gently as she passed an attractive male, she paused. He didn’t smell human. How many vampires were in Mystic Falls anyway? The bartender gave her a smile as he greeted her. “Two shots of vodka?” She asked leaning against the wooden bartop. ‘Sure thing. You got ID?’ He asked for her id. Of course she didn’t have any. Last she checked they didn’t issue anything like that in 1659. “You saw it already.” Her eyes dilated as she compelled him, speaking softly but with authority. Just as expected he complied to her and went off to pour her drinks .

It had only been a week or so since Alaric Saltzman had been released back into humanity without any supervision. Bonnie Bennett had allowed him to be his normal self once again, though with a few quirks. His personality was shifted a bit where he was now more bold, fearless and outgoing like his dark alter ego. The old Alaric remembered everything and despite the guilt, he was able to be strong and push through. Most of his old self was reclaimed, besides the blackouts, which he could live without anyway. Alaric wanted to seek out Elena and all others he supposedly cared about, but maybe it was too soon. How would they look at him now after he almost killed his and their own friends and then tries to pop back up into their lives and fit in once again. It may take him time to ease back into talking to everyone, and time for the others to get used to him being an un-killable original vampire, but at least he was on their side. Back into his own apartment, nothing could have felt better. Memories of his old self remained and made him feel a bit better....pictures of Jeremy and Elena, his own stepdaughter. There was also a reminder of Meredith, sighing deeply, he turned around and walked out of his room. Those memories, he’d rather not touch. Who knew how Meredith felt for him now? Though it was because of her that they all caught on that he was losing his sanity and overall, his true entity.
Pushing through the doors of the Mystic Grill, he sat down at the bar and since he had been there so many times prior to the last few months, the bartender knew him, nodded and headed to get his usual drink of a glass of whiskey. Some things about being a vampire were not too admirable though, how his craving for blood could be so unbearable at times and his lust for it was strong since he was new to being a vampire. Though, since he was an original, the basic things that harmed vampires weren’t a threat like sunlight, stakes through the heart, vervain and others. Alaric was now immoral and tied to Elena’s life. Hopefully the man didn’t have very many outbreaks of his true dark alter ego that wanted to kill anything supernatural. The hunter within him still remained though, he was a vampire that wanted to kill vampires. How ironic. How did that make sense whenever he wanted or needed to feed on a human? Well...he wasn’t killing them exactly. Listen to yourself! He was trying to compromise....but that was how life turned out. Alaric was now a complicated man beyond all measure and it would be a miracle if his old friends could forgive him and end up still forgiving him after everything. Old habits died hard as he grabbed the glass with one hand that the bartender had gotten for him. Alaric took a drink of the alcohol, the burning sensation rushed down his throat and into his stomach. He already had a high tolerance for alcohol from drinking his entire life, but now as a vampire, it would take even longer.
Alaric sat at the bar, hoping somehow Damon would end up showing up there. But from what he heard, Elena had chosen Damon now. So now Damon would be with and around Elena 24/7 with his love wish finally coming true. Alaric wasn’t sure if he approved or not, but he couldn’t stop Elena from loving someone. Though Stefan must have been taking it quite hard. Looking down at the granite counter, he heard sweet nothings whispered and his eyes wandered around until he caught a glimpse of a blonde teasing a young male and eventually luring him into the bathroom. Alaric shook it off and supposed that it was just a fling, shrugging his shoulders and lightly stretching he sighed and went back to his thoughts once again. But when he heard the sound of blood rushing out, he started to grow cautious. He was new to being a vampire, but when blood was spilt, it was the biggest neon sign out there. Pushing the thought away for the moment, the same female returned and had asked for vodka shots at the bar. Where was the male? Alaric spotted her wrist, which was cut. The classic feeding trick. Even Alaric knew about this, not only from the past, but by his own doing. He was still growing used to the act. The vampire hunter part of him found it repulsive and punishable, but now, his own cravings were arising. Pushing his thoughts away, he looked to the female. She had the sweet scent of a vampire, with no sound or sight of a pulse, he looked away.
But what was he going to do? Stake her for it? Staking her for surviving? But if she killed him, then had the duty to kill her....Turning his head to look towards the bathroom, the same male looked mindless as he walked out of the bathroom with a few spots of blood left on his neck. Sloppy clean up job. Turning his head back to the blonde at the bar, she was compelling the bartender to give her a drink without seeing her ID. She surely took advantage of all of the tricks a vampire had wasn’t she? Scoffing lightly, he looked to her and whispered quietly, knowing she’d hear with her vampire hearing. ”Sloppy clean up job. You just made it very obvious.” His tone wasn’t harsh, just a simple question. Though, the vampires in Mystic Falls were already being hunted to his own damn mistake. A fact that he had entirely forgot. How ironic it all was! Alaric took another sip of his drink, the poison wasn’t even getting close to setting in. He tried to push back his own craving urges.

One craving out of the was out of the way. The ache for blood had been sated for now. Now was time to enjoy the second chance of life. That meant drinks…lots and lots of drinks until Stefan showed up. The shots of vodka clinked against the counter top as the bartender moved them in front of the blonde. With a bright smile Lexi happily took them. Looking into his eyes again, “My tab is on the house.” The human nodded and then turned from her; seeing to his other customers. The first gulp of the clear liquid burned as it slid down her throat. A happy sigh slipped from her lips. It had been too long since she had something to drink. “Ah.” The hint of her pink tongue flicked out to lick the hint of the alcohol from her lip.
The voice was just a whisper but it fell easily on her sensitive ears. Turning to the source of the words, Lexi focused on the vampire that she had passed when she took her seat at the bar. Her eyes narrowed, taking in his appearance. He had a rough look too him. Scuff on his face and messy shaggy hair. The exterior did not match his eyes. There was more to those deep pools of blue than the surface said. She’d been around a very long time and could read people. There was more to him that his tone suggested as well. Raising her shot glass with an irritation, tossing her head back as she downed the last shot. “Excuse my table manners.” Catching the attention of the bartender, she ordered two more shot. In truth he might as well just leave her the bottle. By the time she was done, it would be completely gone. “Being dead for a while, I’m a little rusty. Least I didn’t kill him”, The blonde muttered as she picked up another shot, bringing the glass to her lips.
Raising from her stool, the vampire took her drink with her and moved over by the male. There was an absence of blood on him. Had he fed recently? If he had fed in the last twenty-four hours, there would have been at least a trace of blood on his form, lingering in the air around him. “You’re one to talk about table manners or are you too good to feed?” It was not hard to pick up the irritation that dripped in her words. She just came back to the living, being criticized by someone that she didn’t even know. She really wished Stefan was here or freaking knew where he was so she could find him herself. When she did she was going to kick his ass for sure.
“So do you have a name or you just the Mysterious Stranger who like to judge other people’s habits?” Her brow raised to the obvious about of liquor that he had consumed already. Was he a new vampire? Something about him seemed to call out that he was young but then again he seemed old at the same time. All Lexi knew was this guy was giving off some strange vibes. Like a little puppy, the bartender returned to refill her drink. “You better get me a larger glass.” She smiled at him and watched the male run off to get her a highball filled with her drink of choice for the moment. “I’m Lexi by the way.” Casually she spoke taking a healthy gulp of her fresh drink. She was well on her way to becoming drunk. .

As Alaric watched the male walk out of the bathroom like a mindless robot, the aroma of blood rose to his nostrils, causing the veins around his eyes to thicken and blacken. Alaric shut his eyes tightly before he took a deep breath and tried to focus on something else. Someday, he was told that the cravings would not control his mind and thoughts this severely. Shaking his head, he had eyed the blonde vampire he had never seen around town before. Her vodka shots had arrived in front of her and she stared into the young bartender’s eyes once again and let him know that the bar was on the house. Compelling the poor guy to get what she wanted and not having to pay. Though it was clever, since drinks at the bar were ridiculously expensive. The female threw down the shots and she looked like she had not had a drink in quite a while as she let out the sound of enjoyment for the first time. Her tongue flickered out of her mouth to catch any liquid that might have been left behind. That was when Alaric decided to finally speak, at least letting her take in a drink before she got hounded at by a new vampire.
Even though Alaric was a vampire, he still was defending his city and his friends that were mainly vampires and other creatures that weren’t too admired by the city council after his alter ego let out the secret that Caroline and Tyler were vampires and werewolves. With that thought, it made him even more guilty about the actions that he had committed, even though it wasn’t really him at his best. Letting out his words as a whisper to her, she caught on quickly as her eyes roughly cut to him straight away as she observed him. Ric kept quiet, waiting for her to say something, but she continued to observe his features for a little. But it was a shock that two vampires were in the same bar at the same time and didn’t even know one another. One of them was new, and it wasn’t Alaric. Little did he know....Instead, the vampire had downed her second shot in irritation before she spoke to him, telling him to excuse her table manners. One of his eyebrows cocked up, she wasn’t all too threatening, which made her different than the hot headed vampires that he knew. She ordered another two shots, which amazed him even more about her, she was a serious drinker....just like he was.
She noted to him that being dead for a while, she was a little rusty and at least she didn’t kill him. Alaric lowered his head and focused on his drink, thinking about her words. What did she mean “dead for a while”? Meaning that she had been a vampire for a while or had she actually been dead? As he thought about it, the blonde had gotten up, taking her drink with her before taking a seat in the empty stool next to him. Alaric rose his gaze and looked at her in her eyes as she insulted him, thinking that he thought he was too good enough to feed. Her tone hinted that she was irritated at him, but he could understand way. ”No..I am just new to it all and I am not quite used to feeding on humans and treating them like they are a food source instead of my friends.” His words definitely signaled that he was a new vampire. Ric remembered he didn’t even reply to her previous words, but he still wasn’t sure what she meant about it. She then asked if he had a name or if he was just the stranger that liked to judge. A smirk lightly hinted at his lips and he introduced himself. ”I’m Alaric Saltzaman... Her eyes focused on the alcohol he consumed, and an eyebrow raised.
Just like she had ordered the bartender, he was already back as he filled her shots, and she let him know that he might as well get her a larger glass. ”You’re just a bad as a drinker as I am...” He lightly laughed and suddenly, when she had introduced herself as Lexi and Alaric froze before stared at her. That name...Damon had killed a Lexi in the past and then he couldn’t help but to ask..”Lexi? Stefan’s best friend? The one Damon supposedly killed?...Aren’t you supposed to be dead? Or was that another one of Damon’s lies? His tensions rose, what was going on? Had he lost his mind once again? Or was this just a mishap since it was possible that another female vampire could have the name of Lexi. Alaric took another drink and so did the blonde, she had already downed quite a number of shots. ”Might wanna take it easy there...or you’re gonna turn me into your chaperone. Ric teased her, waiting to see if she was Stefan’s Lexi...if she was...then there had been a lot of things that happened since he was gone. ”Wait..you’ve said you’ve been dead for a while. You mean you have just came back to life? So Damon really did kill you?” His eyes widened again, why would the dead come back? Unless of course, he was seeing ghosts, just like Jeremy could.

So he was a new vampire huh? “You’re just a baby then?” Lexi’s lips curled in a light smile. The blonde had met Stefan when he was a baby vamp too, ripping across war torn Mystic Falls. Her nose crinkled in his assumption about her thinking of humans as little more than food. “I like humans.” The girl stated running her finger long the rim of her glass; making the glass sing for her and her new companion. “And not just to eat.” Lee had been human when the two had met. Lexi had not wanted to turn him the first time he asked her to. Instead she wanted to savor him as a human for a little longer. Another year and she turned her human lover, so they could be together forever. In truth, she missed him but he needed to believe she was still dead. If this spell was like the last, by nightfall she would be back on the other side and very dead. Though this time if felt different. The vampire felt whole again, just as she had before she died. Maybe fate was smiling on her and allowing her another chance to live? She could only hope for that. Stefan was still out there and he still needed her, even if he didn’t realize he did. “Alaric.” He had an interesting name. It rolled off her tongue with ease. One that she had not heard of in a very long time. Though it seemed to suit him…at least from their first encounter. “Family name?” A chuckle slipped from her lips. “I like it.”
The warm tipsy feeling that she was looking for was slowly starting to wash over her. Now the rest of her drinks where about maintaining her buzz but not increasing it. No need for a lush vampire in the bar. “It takes a lot to get me buzzed. I need it right now.” There was no need going into that she was still hungry. The blood she took from the boy was enough for now. Once she found Stefan and settled in, she would get a connection at the hospital. Taking from the vein was still too tempting, even for her. The guy mentioned her best friend causing her eyes to widen. He knew about her? He knew about Stefan? Whoa…he knew Damon killed her? “You know Stefan? Do you know where he is?” Without even thinking her hand cupped his wrist in a subtle desperation. As much as she knew Stefan needed her, she needed her best friend more than ever. Realizing she had just grabbed someone she didn’t even know, her hand withdrew from his wrist. “Yeah, I’m Stefan’s Lexi…the dead one.” Her tone dropped and her eyes rolled. God did she have a bone to pick with Damon. “One of Damon’s lies? So you know that asshole too huh?” Her fingers moved to push a few rogue stands of honey colored hair from her face. “No lies, he really did shove a stake through my heart. Have any idea where he is too? Damon and I have to have a very ‘long talk’.” If she had her way, she would rip out Damon’s heart and shoving it down his throat before he took in his last breath. To say the blonde was bitter was an understatement.
“What are you my mother? I’m a big girl there Ric, I’m old. But if you seem to know so much about me, you already knew that.” Tilting her head to the side, she looked over at him, her eyes meeting his pretty blues. “So are you like friends with Stefan?” The younger Salvatore brother would not be so forthcoming with information if he and Alaric were not friends. The million dollar question or so it would become no doubt. How the Hell was she alive? “Yup. I’m pretty sure the Sheriff had her deputies burn my body but her I am, three years later.” Her hand made a grand mocking gesture. “I don’t have a clue why I’m back. So far what I figure, its magic. Why else would I be back? I want to know why though. I tried Stefan’s place and he wasn’t there. I want to try Elena’s next. If anyone knows where he is, it has to be that girl.” Of course Lexi had no idea that Stefan and Elena were not together, but Elena was with the vampire that killed her. “Yeah, just like I said. Damon killed me for whatever ‘diabolical plan’. Bastard had better have had one great plan.” Eyes rolled again playfully. The alcohol was making it easier to not be as bitter as she would have felt sober and loosened her tongue enough to talk to the man she just met so freely. “So how long has it been since your turning? Most newborn are gorging themselves but you’re here alone drinking?” She’d been around long enough to read a person. Alaric was sad. The thought made her lips turn down to a slight pout. She might have just met him but he seemed all right.

Alaric took down his drink and it slid quickly to the back of his throat. The hard liquor coated his taste buds and slid down his throat, numbing his senses until the numbness would eventually spread to his mindset. Alaric was already a bit loose, considering as how he had a personality change because of his alter ego being apart of his current self now. Ric then almost choked on his alcohol when she noted that he was just a baby. Regaining himself, he looked over to her to find the blonde smiling lightly, having fun teasing him. ”Yeah, I guess you could say that. What are you then? An old grandma? The way you talk to me sounds like you’ve blessed me with your presence because you’re so ancient. His tone was light as well, not insulting. If he didn’t know any better, she was flirting with him. Though most people at the bar were the lonely ones, wanting company of some kind and when one could find an attractive member of the opposite sex that was flirting with them, why not flirt back? Ric was still letting go of Meredith. Not sure if he should rekindle the relationship that they once had, if one would even call it a relationship since that was the crucial point when he was losing his sanity quicker that before.
Thinking that the female only regarded humans as pure food, she denied the assumption with a crinkled nose and told him that she liked humans and not just for food. ”It’s hard to try and feed on humans right away after you’ve been one for thirty-six years and had so many connections to them. I can see how it is different for those who never really liked humans in the first place or were turned at a young age...but being the “baby” that I am...I don’t want to lose my humanity.” It seemed like that was the fear of every new vampire, to not lose their original self. But Ric had already lost his old self to his dark alter ego, the apparent true vampire hunter self. Once introducing himself, she repeated his name as if she found it interesting and then questioned if it was a family name before chuckling and noting that she admired it. A slight blush formed in his cheeks, he tried to shrug it off by taking another drink. She was really flirting with him. ”Yeah, it’s a German name. Saltzman, believe it or not is quite a respected name.” Ric lightly smiled, showing off his divine smile, trying to keep the mood light and flirtatious. Then the alcohol was slightly starting to settle in his head and his body was starting to feel lighter and his cares were melting away...
Ric’s blue eyes watched as Lexi took in more drinks, she told him it took a lot to get her buzzed and that she needed it right now. ”I know the feeling. I was an alcoholic as a human..now getting drunk as a vampire takes even longer with even more increased tolerance, it’s annoying really.” At the mention of Stefan’s Lexi, her eyes widened and that was an honest sign that she was that Lexi. His own eyes widened in surprise.. The dead resurrected again? Was this like before where it was only temporary or was this permanent? His head cocked to the side and he watched her as she asked him if he knew Stefan and urgently questioning where he was. Her hand then reached over to grab his wrist. This caught him off guard before he looked down at her hand on him and started to answer her question as his eyes drew back up to her own. ”I know Stefan...Elena, Damon.... He trailed off, hoping she’d get the point that he knew the whole gang then continued again. ”Well...finding Stefan lately is difficult...You can’t find him unless he wants to find you.” Surely she’d wonder what the hell he meant by that. And since she was asking where he was, she must not have known about Stefan and Elena breaking up.
Before he could continue she confirmed that she was Stefan’s Lexi, the dead one. Her eyes rolled and his did lightly as well. Damon also was a common enemy as she spoke his name and said that it was no lies that he drove a stake through her heart and asked where he was too because the two needed to have a “long talk.” Alaric laughed, he couldn’t help it. Damon was wanted dead by many. ”Well, you can find Damon with Elena. Might be hard to kill Damon since he is Elena’s new boyfriend. Stefan went back to being cold and dark Ripper because of her choice of choosing Damon....Or so I’ve heard. But yeah, want to find Damon, find Elena. Want to find Stefan? Elena might know since she can’t stay away from him either.” His tone was a bit annoyed, he didn’t like how Elena ripped both of their hearts out and toyed with their emotions. But now she made her decision and shattered Stefan. When he told her to slow down with her drinking, she had asked if he was her mother and then he shut his mouth. She then calmed him Ric and caused his eyes to brighten up...”My close friends used to call me that...” Alaric paused and thought about the past and a small smile came to his lips.
”And yes, I know some things about you. Elena was a fan of you.” Her head then tilted and her eyes focused on his with an unusual shine and look that she gave him. Lexi then asked if he was friends with Stefan. ”Yes...very much friends with Stefan. I actually plan to find him soon and help him cope with things and maybe he could even help me with this whole feeding off of humans thing like he did with Caroline...” Stefan was a good friend, but Damon was actually considered his best friend. ”And it’s scary to admit, but I am closer to Damon. Yeah he’s a dick and even killed me a few times...but he had potential. And now that he’s with Elena, I’d like to see how soft he’s gone.” A light chuckle escaped from his throat, remembering all of the times that the two drank at the bar until morning talking about their love lives and Damon’s inner turmoils. ”He’s like an alcoholic vampire...so we ran into each other a lot here.” Then Lexi moved on to explaining that she was dead and how her body was burned and that she had no clue of why she was back.. Something must have been going on beyond their knowing...even beyond the knowledge of the city council. Magic huh? Could be...or witchcraft like usual.
Lexi wanted to know the answer of why she was back and wanted to know where Stefan was. ”Yeah, despite their breakup, I heard Stefan still lingers around, just like before. Surely they’ve had contact. But if you find Elena at her house, Damon might be there. Do you really want to ruin that buzz of yours?” Ric teased. It had been a while since he drank and now he was wanting to linger on it. By the way she continued to speak about Damon, she truly wanted him dead. ”Believe me, I think he regrets it...just go easy on him for now...or I’ll have to hunt you down...sadly I admit, he was a good friend to me.” Never would you hear him admit that he was his best friend, so good friend would suffice for now. Lexi was showing signs that she was loosening up because of the alcohol and so was Ric. He liked her so far..and not to mention...she was attractive. Shaking those thoughts, he listened to her question about how old her was because most newborns were usually gorging, but he was drinking alone. Alaric sighed, feeling guilty of the past and the terrible things he did to his friends. Her lips formed a pout, she seemed really curious to know why he was alone. ”Well, I have apologies to make and I’m not sure if they will all forgive me. Even though it wasn’t truly me...But I still have guilt attached to me. And as for the human blood, I have fed from a human, but I have been a vampire hunter my whole life and now to turn into the monster I hunted? Though since moving here, I’ve made friends with more vampires than really killing any...” Alaric took a drink again, trying to drown out his feelings. ”Pathetic isn’t it?” He scoffed before looking down for a little as he spoke again. ”I guess I still respect human life.. though the other side of me wants to indulge. So I am stuck in a psychological warfare.” It would take time before he would be able to feel completely guiltless after feeding from a human because it was either feed or die.
Alaric was still a vampire hunter...a vampire that hunter vampires. Ironic to the core. Looking up slowly, he met her eyes. The female was a vampire and she didn’t seem that bad...sometimes, not all monsters were true monsters. Maybe their nature was evil, but their hearts were something different. ”Well are you going to march over to kill Damon right now? Or are you going to stick around for a while? To be honest, I’m enjoying the company.” A smile slowly rose on his lips that was genuine.

Grandma? Her eyes widened a bit and a look of mock shock moved over her lips. “I’ll have you know I hardly look a day over 19.” Lexi had been 19 when she was turned. Here had been little choice in her turning…but that was long time ago. “You should feel special. Of all the people that I could be spending my second life with, I’m sitting her in the bar with you.” She playfully snipped back at him. The blonde knew she had to find Stefan soon. Couldn’t she waste just a little bit longer with her new friend? Perhaps she was flirting with him. Being dead for a while made her miss the things that made her feel alive in the first place. Mentally she paused. Lee was still out there. Hopefully he no longer harbored the love that they once shared. If she was lucky, he had moved on. Besides, at nightfall this spell or whatever kept her here could be gone and she would only hurt him again by leaving. Why not have some fun flirting with a cute new baby vampire? “I’ve been around for a while. I’m a lot older than Damon and Stefan.”
He was still very fresh. It was clear how he spoke about humans. As much as Lexi like humans, she understood that they were a food source. It wasn’t the same as a human looking at a cow as a best friend or anything but she knew that it was a give and take. Blood was part of their survival and they had to take it. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t give back. Loving a human was one start and showing her respect was the other. “It’s good you think that way. Just means you will hang on to your humanity. Too many young ones go crazy and shut the switch off. Stefan has done it more times than I can count.” A smile broke over her lips as she thought of her best friend and all the time she had to bring him back from his ripper side. “Just because you feed from humans, doesn’t mean you have to loose yourself. I’m still the same person I was when I was turned.” Of course she had no idea that he had an alter ego that had done terrible things and had the capability of evil. Lucky for her she was clueless or the girl might have downed her glass and quickly left the Grill. Instead, a smile moved over her lips as he spoke about his name. “I like it. It’s interesting.” Buzzed and happy was her current state. The large quantity of alcohol coursed through her system, bring a pleasant warmth. So different from the cool feelings that she experienced while on the other side. Chuckling, she looked over at him as he spoke of it took him longer to get drunk now that he was no longer human. “Just means that you have to drink more…or the really good stuff.” Giving him a soft wink, the glass rose to her lips and she took a small sip. “You keep talking about the negatives of being a vampire. Haven’t you got to the good parts yet?” Her lips curled. It seemed like she had this very same conversation with Stefan when he went through one of his brooding periods. He was so wrapped up in his guilt that he forgot to live. Seeing Alaric seem to do the same when he had not had a chance to really live as a vampire was just a shame and she did not like it. He needed to have some fun in his life.
Finally the realization hit him and the shock set in. Yup, she was Stefan’s lexi. The very much dead best friend. His eyes had moved down to her hand. It had been an automatic response. Lexi was a physical person. She loved to talk with her hands and used her hands to touch the people as she spoke to them. Her reaction was surprised and her response was to touch him, just to be sure he was telling her the truth. He knew the Salavtores and Elena? A smile broke wide. If he knew them, he might be able to tell her where the hell Stefan was. Before she can ask again, the news that her best friend, the only person that she really trusted was lost again. The smile that was on her face faded. “Why? What’s wrong with him?” What had happened to change things from when she left. Elena was suppose to save him from himself. Did she give up? A worry set in. “Is he off the wagon again?” Her voice was a light sigh, knowing she had a lot of work to do if he was.
His laugh caught her a little off however when the talk of Damon came up. “What?! What do you mean Elena is with Damon?” Her stomach rolled with disgust. “Eww just eww! Why would she choose that asshole over Stefan?” What was wrong with that girl? She was out of her freaking mind and needed to have her head checked. “Whoa slow down. Remember, dead girl here. Both of them?” Maybe her first impression of Elena was wrong. She really thought highly of the Gilbert girl. She was brave, sweet and above all loved Stefan. “So she’s been stringing them along and finally dumped Stef?” So difficult to try to get all the facts straight with her foggy mind. Being dead really sucks when you were so out of the loop for so long. There was nothing she could do about it now until she met up with her lost friend. He could fill her in more than Alaric could and see if there is another doppelganger that needed a boot up her ass.
A sly smile moved over his lips as he quickly silenced. So he seemed to like her calling him Ric. Making a mental note, she would have to do it more, if given the chance. A brow perked at he spoke that he knew about her. How much did he know about her? Elena liked her. That she already knew. The human had taken the advice that the elder vampire had given her when they first met but it seemed that it didn’t stick…or it was not real for her because she walked away. When he said he was friends with Stefan, she felt better. At least he did not have to be alone when she couldn’t be there for him. Caroline? Tilting her head to the side, she looked a bit confused but assumed it was another vampire that he helped. “He killed you and you are cool with that?” Lexi sent him a questioning look. Coming back from the dead, nothing really seemed to surprise her when she could say that. They had both died before? Common ground for sure. He almost talked like he and the older Salvatore brother and he were friends. Her nose crinkled at the thought. She really just wanted to slam Damon’s head against a brick wall…repeatedly.
“Damon Salvatore doesn’t regret anything.” Of course she didn’t know that Damon was not the same vampire that she knew. Their encounters had never gotten along, though for several decades, the male wanted in her pants something awful. “I’m not even sure the guy has a soul. He staked me with his brother and Elena watching.” Her eyes rolled in irritation. This guy was something different. He was able to excite a variety of emotions from her. Annoyance, happiness and empathy all swam in her head. It was peculiar and she wanted to continue to indulge. “Is that so?” Her voice came out light as he warned her. He was a hunter, even if he was a vampire. “I’ve been dead once…” She trailed off. “I’m not going to make any promises when it come to Damon. I doubt Stefan would want me to kill him…but he and I have unfinished business, friend or not.” Surely he could understand that she would not go from hating his best friend to loving him just because he threatened her. It didn’t work that way, she died and others had to suffer in her absence. Things like that did not go forgotten.
Her tone softened as she listened to him. “So you screwed up and made some mistakes. Fix them.” She spoke as a matter of fact. He seemed remorseful enough to be willing to make amends. “If they are worth it, you fight to get back on their good graces.” He spoke on human blood. He really seemed troubled by feeding on humans. Should she? No, that was too personal. Too intimate but something pulled her closer, as she leaned in. “Have you tried feeding from a vampire. I mean its not like you are feeding from a human and you don’t run a risk of hurting anyone that way.” There was a long pause before she spoke again. In truth she couldn’t believe she was saying this but the words seemed to pour out of her mouth. Being as new as he was, he might not realize what a big deal it was for her to say what she was going to. “You could feed from me. You wouldn’t hurt me.” She smiled over at him. “Damon and I can wait. I like the company too. You look hungry. Want to go somewhere a little more out of the way?” She spoke before rising to her feet and nodding towards the door. Of course she didn’t have a place in the town, she suspected that she would stay with Stefan…when she could even find him. Maybe Alaric had a place not far. .

After Alaric made the comment that she must have been a grandma by the way she talked to him, making him sound like he was just a baby and therefore making herself sound much older than he was. Lexi let him know that she did not look a day over 19. Alaric laughed lightly before noting, ”Well yes, you appear young by your looks can deceive.” He teased back to her lightly, trying to playfully make her more concious of her age. Alaric and every other man knew how women were concerned with their looks and how much it could affect them if they received the slightest of negative comments. She told him that he should consider himself lucky because out of all the people she could be spending her second life with, she was with him. ”I don’t see you exactly hating my company.” Alaric lightly smiled before fixing his eyes back on his drink in his hands. In the end, Lexi told him that she was much older than Damon or Stefan and it made sense because if she was able to help Stefan with his Ripper state, then it meant that she had dealt with the same things in the past. Then he recalled the age number that Elena had mentioned to him once before...she was much older than Stefan and Damon by a long shot. So she really was an old woman... he snickered to himself at his internal mental comment to himself.
Explaining how his respect for human life still lingered, she made him feel better about himself as she told him that she thought it was good that he felt that way because it means that from there one out, he would be able to hang onto his humanity. Well, at least that was good. But eventually, it would sometimes be the choice of having to kill a human or save his own life. Though, he didn’t even need to kill the humans and drain them completely, just take enough blood to prevent them from it not being enough for them to survive. Lexi told him that too many young ones go crazy and switch off their humanity, just like Stefan has done and only continues to do. At least he was doing better than others like him, but then he thought about it. There were really no others like him, for he was an original, but it was brought on by a curse and his alter ego was a dark and selfish killer. As Lexi continued to speak, she repeated the thoughts that were going through his head, that he did not have to lose himself every time he fed and that she was still the same person when she was turned. Alaric looked up at her and said, ”Well some things must have changed....your respect for humans....since you have more power and capabilities than them. You start to consider yourself something better.” He wasn’t sure if that was how she felt, but it was how he was starting to feel and it was making him feel disconnected from his old friends as he continued to think about it.
Alaric’s name seemed to be a name that Lexi liked and she found it interesting. The alcohol was starting to rush over his mind and senses, it was that warm and weightless feeling that could make him forget his troubles and drift into a world where he had virtually no problems. The feeling was light, but it was a start if he continued to drink as much as he did. The bartender then came over and just handed him the bottle of hard liquor, seeing as how it would be less work for the bartender anyway if Alaric was already going to drink a bottle’s worth in the end. Alaric lifted the bottle in thanks and smirked to himself...he had compelled him when he first came to the bar. Lexi may be able to sense it, since no bartender in their right mind would allow a human to down an entire bottle of whiskey when it could end his life or make him insanely drunk to the point of alcohol poisoning. Lexi just told him that he just needed to drink more and he lightly raised the bottle to her, ”Exactly what I plan on doing. More of it, as well as the more powerful stuff.” He lightly smirked once again before taking a drink of the bottle, holding it in his grasp in one of his hands. The blonde then gave him a wink and it made him stop and realize that she really was flirting with him..it was either that or she was starting to get buzzed when her defenses started to lower and she didn’t even care what she did anymore.
Alaric cocked his head to the side when she asked if he had encountered any of the good things of being a vampire. ”Well, a lot of it seemed negative at first as I have to feed on humans just to feel good or not sick....But then I get a rush whenever I run as everything passes by me in fast motion, just like a blur. It feels like time stops for me..” Now he was starting to get poetic, but he did like the way that vampires “ran.” Which was insanely fast, too quick for the eye to see. He zoned out a little before focusing on his bottle. ”And I admit that compelling humans is a bit amusing.” His fingers tapped on the whiskey bottle as he looked to the bartender, giving her the clues of what he had done to the poor guy. Once he spoke that he had known the Salvatores and Elena, a type of relief ran over her face and body. Like she could now relax because she could now consider this man in front of her, a friend. But it went both ways, Alaric didn’t feel so guilty flirting with her or anything now that he realized they were pretty much fighting on the same side. Though when Alaric sadly spoke of how Stefan was no longer himself anymore, her beautiful smile faded and she automatically asked what was wrong with him. ”He was upset since she left him and chose Damon. His heart shattered I heard...And yeah, pretty much jumped off the wagon like it was set on fire.” Alaric’s voice was filled with sorrow for Stefan. Stefan always had things go wrong or be rough for his life. Elena was always the one to keep him sane and keep him fighting to keep his humanity, but once Elena is out of the picture, then what was the point anymore? ”The reason he always tried to fight it was because of Elena...but now that she wants his brother..” Alaric trailed off and figured she would catch his drift.
Alaric’s laugh had alerted Lexi and she seemed so disgusted when she heard that Elena chose Damon over Stefan. He then couldn’t help but to laugh as she continued to freak out about Elena’s choice in men. ”Even assholes have their soft side.” Alaric silently noted. Damon really did turn into someone completely different at the sight or talk of Elena Gilbert. He nodded when she said that she had been stringing them along and then dumped Stefan. ”I don’t know...I mean Damon is a friend of mine, but now that he is dating my stepdaughter, my feelings change. But all I know is that she did string them along and hurt both of them in the process and now she had chose Damon which leaves Stefan lying in the dust, broken and lost.” He loved Elena, but he knew what it was like to want a woman that wanted someone or something else other than you. It hurt Stefan to the core because he was still just as in love with her as he was when he first met her. He endlessly fought for her and gave up his life for her love and safety and that was how she repaid him. ”Love isn’t fair sometimes.” And with those words, he took a big swig of the hard alcohol. Alaric’s own love life was a disaster. Hearing his nickname put a smile on his face as well as added a smile on her own lips, what was she thinking about? Suddenly he wondered on all that she was thinking about him or what she thought of him. No wonder Stefan liked Lexi, the stick in the mud needed a little bit of excitement in his life.
When Alaric still considered Damon as a friend, Lexi looked flummoxed and asked that even though Damon killed him, he was cool with that? Ric shrugged. ”Well, at the time I had my magic ring on and dying wasn’t anything except for being asleep for a few hours and waking up with an extreme rage at him...I wouldn’t say I was cool with it, but he had his reasons.” Though of course some of the reasons were pointless and could have saved him a few deaths if Damon would have thought for a moment about his actions. She tried to say that Damon didn’t regret anything, he left out a slight wince. ”Well, the old Damon didn’t regret anything and enjoyed human suffering, but since he’s fallen in love with Elena, he’s changed.” His eyes met hers. ”I mean that.” Alaric hated Damon when he first met him too. Ric slightly chuckled when she said that she wasn’t even sure that Damon had a soul since he staked her with Elena and her brother watching. ”Yeah, sometimes he can still be a huge dick. But he’s getting better.....what was his reason for killing you anyway? He knew it was some plan of Damon’s, but why exactly? Lexi then told him that she couldn’t make any promises when it came to Damon, but when it came to Stefan, she knew it wouldn’t be something he would want, despite how he stole his lover. Ric could easily understand her hate for Damon and also her loyalty to Stefan.
Ric began to feel guilty and the blonde tried to cheer him up with her kind words that he had made some mistakes, but that he should fix them if they were world it and he should fight to get back into their graces. His lips tightened for a moment as he thought about it and then agreed. ”You’re right...and if they care about me as much as I care about them, then they should be able to forgive me somehow.” Ric gave huge vibes that currently he was uncomfortable with feeding on human and how he hadn’t really fed in quite a while. Drinking human blood wasn’t satisfying and another reason why he was drinking was because he was trying to push the urge to feed, away. But now he was risking the humans’ lives around him as he did not feed. Suddenly, Lexi then leaned in close and asked in he had tried feeding from a vampire and how it was not like feeding on a human and there was no risk of hurting a human in any way.”
His eyebrows lifted in wonder and question. Feeding from a vampire? Was their blood as helpful, or perhaps it was more helpful and satisfying since vampires fed on multiple humans. A slight curiosity and interest in wanting to feed on a vampire then arose in him. There was a pause between them and then she told him that Ric could even feed on her and that she wouldn’t be hurt by him. His eyes then slowly wandered over to her. Why was she wanting to do this for him? The side of him that was desperately craving blood arisen and the veins from his eyes started to thicken and blacken. Shutting his eyes and looking away from her, what other choice did he have? And it would be a new experience so why not benefit from it in multiple ways. Alaric opened his eyes as he pushed the blackness away from his mind and avoiding the hunger to overwhelm him. When he looked over at him, she was smiling at him and told him that her grudge with Damon could wait and that she enjoyed the company as well. A soft smile formed on his lips from her words and then she told him that he looked hungry and asked if they could go somewhere more out of the way. Alaric was lost in his thoughts with the thought of feeding and even on a vampire, which he heard could be more fulfilling and exciting than feeding on a human. Ric shook his head then before he realized it, she was already up on her feet and nodding towards the door. ”Yeah...We can go to my apartment, it’s close by.” What was he doing? Well, he didn’t need to feel afraid since they technically knew one another, just never formally met each other before. Little did he know that the act of blood sharing would connect them in different and intimate ways. Getting up out of his seat, he put the lid on the whiskey bottle and hid it within his jacket...he was doing all types of bad now that he was a vampire and could take advantage of the humans and their free will. As hit feet hit the floor, he lightly stumbling, not aware of how much the alcohol had already settled in his system. Alaric looked at Lexi and smiled, thinking that she wanted to help him out of the goodness of her heart to help a vampire in need, since she dealt with and had compassion for new vampires who needed a friend. Heading out of the grill, Ric had “ran” to his apartment, knowing Lexi would follow after. Once at his doorstep, he pulled out his keys and mentioned as he fumbled within the door lock. ”Don’t mind the mess...” Of course he would worry about something like that still, but she was considered a house guest and doing him a kind favor. Opening the door, he held the door open and notioned for Lexi to walk in before him. Even as a vampire, he could still be a gentleman. Ric followed in after her before he closed his door and set his keys and cellphone on the table nearby. Ric kept his leather jacket on, instead of taking it off like he usually would. Since his sense of body temperature was virtually absent now. Walking into the small kitchen, he took the bottle out from his jacket and placed it on the counter, who knew, maybe they would need a little bit of alcohol after. Ric wandered back over to Lexi and gave her a look like he wasn’t all too sure what to do until his ears could pick up on the blood coursing through her veins and the image of the veins on her neck began to show up a bit more clearly now. Alaric then couldn’t help himself now as his gaze was fixed upon her neck and his eyes started to quickly began to blacken and the urge raised deep within him and his fangs started to grow out long and sharp. It was like an animal consumed him and there was no stopping it now. Ric started to take slow steps towards her before quickly ending up behind her, slamming his back into a wall and biting her neck with his great power. One of his hand wrapped over in front of her waist while his other hand had found itself on her face to hold her neck steady. Though, Alaric actually bit more near her shoulder, though close to the neck still. Hot blood began to flow into his mouth and he began to groan and moan over the taste and the rush that it was giving his mind. His eyes started to roll back as his senses started to become overwhelmed with a feeling of euphoria. This feeling was better than sex, better than any feeling he had ever experienced before. It was pleasure and satisfaction to it’s maximum capacity...no, it was even beyond that. Alaric’s strong hands held her steadfast and he continued to feed as the blood started to dribble out of his mouth and onto her skin that had its own beautiful complexion. Emotions for Lexi started to arise within himself as well...lust, no love, no...it was something deeper. Groaning deeply through his teeth and nostrils, he was gentle with how much blood he took from her as he savored each drop that fell down his throat. The red crimson was staining Lexi’s skin now. Before he continued, he then pulled out his fangs of her skin and opened his eyes fully as he looked up to the ceiling with a raspy and quick sigh. ”Lexi, I’m sorry for doing that so suddenly...” His words were in between breaths, it was the sane Alaric trying to apologize, but not that he regretted doing it, just how he allowed the beast to tackle her like he did. Then he turned her around and looked at her in the eyes and he was breathing hard with a feeling of combined love and lust running over him as he looked at her now. Alaric still had not had his fill of blood though and he wanted more instead of just sitting there watching it escape from her ruptured vein. Red stained his face, lips and teeth now as he could smell the sweet smell of blood and taste it’s power. It was so invigorating for him, was this how it always felt by feeding on a vampire? In that case, why wasn’t it done more often? [/blockquote] Word Count; ......um.. 3,025. ((I’m sooo sorry xD You don’t have to match this at all! So perhaps she could like bite him and he bites her back again too haha. This is sexy!))

They continued talking, revealing things about Damon and the friendship that the bastard and Alaric shared. Ewww..and the disgusting thought of Elena with Damon. The girl really was insane to want him. Her heart silently broke for her best friend. She needed to find him later and pull him from the darkness that would be following him like a dark cloud. The vampire hunter, turned vampire also told her a small about of the regret that he feels. Her comforting seemed to work and he was very receptive to her obvious flirting. He had a nice smile and very beautiful eyes. Of course she should not have offered her blood to him…but she wanted to help. Ric was a friend of Stefan and he was hurting. Some people were not meant to be vampires. The life just wasn’t for him. Whatever reasons he had for being a vampire hunter, was strong enough to cause him to resist wanting to feed on humans. He had two options if he refused humans. Animals; like Stefan did. (Which was disgusting.) Lexi had tried the diet, under strong recommendations from her best friend. Three weeks was the longest she lasted. The bitter taste of wild game turned her stomach. Choking it down was difficult. It didn’t matter what kind of animal she caught. The taste was all bland and bitter. No way she could stick with that when she knew what humans tasted like. Never having the same resolve that her friend had, nor the addictive nature that he did, the elder vampire returned to her old ways. The other option was the one that she was offering him. Vampire blood was so much richer than humans. The scent alone excited and thrilled most vampires. But sharing blood came with a cost.
The act of sharing was very personal; mostly only done with lovers. Sharing with someone you aren’t involved with was taboo because of one very large side effect that could occur. Drinking from another vampire could bond the vampires. It was more than physical lust and beyond emotional love. Every fiber in the vampire’s being needed the other. They were like a drug, like oxygen. They were bonded together for an eternity. Nothing could break it, as long as they continued to be together. It was rare when something like that happened but she had heard of it. Why was she willing to risk having him bonded to her? If something went wrong and he did, then who knew how long it would take for the bond to fade away. Tales spread that it took decades, even centuries for that kind of power to fade away. In truth, she had no idea why. Only reasoning was that he needed her help. Perhaps her motherly nature, the same that pulled her to Stefan so many years ago, that made her want to help him.
He had seemed somewhat reluctant but agreed to leave the bar. His apartment was not far away. “Okay, lead the way.” The girl had not been expecting him to run the entire way, but she giggled at the chance to ‘stretch her legs’. It was odd as she followed closely behind him. He was a baby, yet he was very fast…faster than a newly turned vampire should be. Maybe he was just really lucky with his bloodline. As they ran, her mind wandered. Who had turned him? Did she knew them? Would it have been one of the Salvatore? Stefan would not have done it, at least not unless it meant to save his life. Damon? It seemed more like Damon’s style. Once he was fed, she would ask him more about what was going on in this town. It seemed in the three years that she had been dead, everything had gone to hell and everyone crazy. At least her company seemed okay.
It did not take long to reach his place. Just a small run before she was standing with him at his door. Soft eyes moved around the room as he told her to excuse the mess. It was obvious that a man lived here…well a man of this century, because Stefan and even Damon kept the boarding house spotless. She smiled as he held the door for her. At least he had manners. “It’s not bad. Just well used.” Looking around further, she took in her surroundings. It was a nice place, cozy. Which reminded her that she had to talk to Stefan about moving in with him…at least until she got her own place. Distracted by her observations of Alaric’s home, she didn’t think twice about him gaining ground behind her. “Hey listen,” She began to explain to him the possible outcome of feeding from her. “There is something I need to tell you about feeding…” There was no time to finish her though before his arms were around her. His body slammed back against the wall, causing it to shake in response to the hard blow. Sharp teeth impaled her soft flesh. Lexi gave out a gentle cry and a whimper. For a moment, she began to feel a growing panic, causing her heart to beat furiously in her chest. The grip on her was intense, stronger than a new vampire should be. Another oddity with him. Was he lying when he told her that he was only recently turned? Whatever it was…her mind was beginning to foggy and pleasure from his bite replaced the panic. Each strong pull of blood made her body relax more. No longer did she attempt to fight him. In fact the opposite effect. Pressing up against him further, her head tilted to the side, submitting to him completely. A soft moan left the woman’s lips as she felt her own fangs elongate. Dark eyes lay under her closed eyelids. A need burned in her as Alaric satisfied his own desire for her blood.
His hands were on her, holding her against him. Her own hand flexed once before moving up her body, passing over the arm around her waist and up to his hair. Purrs left her lips. This was a completely new sensation. Never had she felt such a seductive mix of pleasure and pain. He was rough but gentle. A whimper slipped out as he pulled away, her skin not quite healing yet. Warm blood flowed freely for a moment longer before the wound began to heal. He was apologizing to her before he turned her around. With a so pant her head shook slightly. She didn’t want his apology. The ache for blood was so strong. Licking her lips, her fangs showed behind parted lips. Her breath was a soft pant.
Dark eyes met his for a brief moment before moving down to see the blood, her blood staining his face and lips. Closing the gap between them, Lexi pressed her body flush with his. Flicking her tongue out, she gave in to her inner animal tasting her own blood on his mouth. With a growl, her own teeth met the softness of his throat, drinking in the rich potent taste of his blood. Such power, raw and wild, flowed down her throat. She’d never felt anything like it. What was with this guy? He was strong, fast and…his blood was like sex. Her body took over, pulling him closer, pressing hard as she continued to consume him roughly, letting out a growl of pleasure when she felt teeth enter her again. .

At first Alaric wasn’t sure if they should go to his apartment and commence in him feeding from her, but in a way they were already friends even though they had not met personally. She could be considered friend. It was questionable as to why she was alive once again, but he shoved that aside and decided to live in the moment. What if it was only temporary and he was wasting it on being fearful? It wasn’t necessary and this was going to be a new experience for Alaric and he needed to feed anyway. Lexi told him to lead the way to his apartment and he did just that as he sped away, gaining his new legs and using his new skills that he was starting to like, growing to like the fact that he was a vampire. It was hard at first because it was a life change and knowing that he still could have a mental out lash, but he would deal with that when the time came to it. Alaric’s life had changed forever and he needed to start dwelling in the past and live in the present. Arriving to his apartment and letting Lexi inside of his room first, he followed after her and shut the door. Ric tried to apologize for the way it looked but she told him it wasn’t bad, just well used. A smirk arose on his lips, that was another way of putting it.
Lexi’s eyes continued to wander around his apartment and that was when the bloodlust arose and the animal inside him escaped. She tried to utter something to him about the feeding, but by then, his mind was totally consumed by the thought of her blood. Gaining up behind her, he put his arms around her and slammed his own back against the wall, becoming a blend of pain and pleasure as his fangs elongated and he dug his fangs into her skin. The taste of the blood was so invigorating and it made him feel so alive. Maybe it was because he was a very powerful original vampire that blood from a vampire was what satisfied him more than a human’s blood. He then started to think that drinking from vampires may have been his drawback. He pushed such thoughts aside for now and dwelled in the moment as the crimson blood traveled down his throat as he fed from her slowly, trying to be gentle yet rough at the same time. The animal had control after all. Alaric was just full of surprises, how he underestimated himself when really, he had a lot more power and capabilities then he thought himself to have. Ric could then hear the blood pulsing through her veins and pumping from her heart. He shut his eyes tightly and continued to drink.
As he continued, she stopped fighting him and even tilted her head to the side, giving him free access. Whimpers and purrs left her lips, she was enjoying this as much as he was. So many feelings and thoughts ran through his head. This was a new experience that he never wanted to end. Lexi’s body pressed up against his more and as he opened his eyes for a moment, he could see the long fangs emerging from her mouth as well as the black veins creeping up from the side of her beautiful face. Alaric’s watched as her hand crept up her body and up into his hair. Lust started to arise, he wanted her in more ways than one. Closing his eyes tightly again, it was when reality hit him and he slowly took his fangs out of her skin and tried to apologize for his rash actions. He turned her around and the same look that he was just giving her a few minutes earlier was now on her face. She only panted and shook her head slightly, she really did like every moment of it. Her fangs then could be seen through her slightly parted lips and his eyes watched as her tongue flickered out. The two remained silent, but there was no need for woods. Their eyes and their actions did all of the speaking for them.
Alaric’s eyes grew seductive and he watched where her eyes went, which was on his face and lips. Lexi moved in closer to him and pressed her body onto his again. His arm then reached around her again tightly as he pulled her tightly against him, the animal within him taking over. There was no need for apologies. He was taller than her by far so he kept his head straight but his eyes gazed down at her and his lips parted, breathing deep, trying to catch his breath. When her tongue flickered out to lick his lips, it made him go wild. The blonde growled before shoving her fangs into his skin. The pain felt so good, it was a new feeling as his life rushed out of him, but he wanted to give her that same pleasure, so he also titled his head for her and his hand wandered under the shirt on her back and his hands wandered upwards, feeling her smooth and soft skin, gripping her tighter to him. They both were lost in the lust and they pressed onto one another hard before his fangs slipped into her skin again, the two were now feeding on one another. The exchange felt more than just a mere exchange of blood.
His emotions were so raw, he couldn’t understand it. It almost felt like he was under the influence of her blood. But he didn’t care, he craved it. Ric wanted more of it. The vampire then shoved himself off the wall and onto another side of his apartment with Lexi’s back now on the wall. His other hand that was free started to reach up to his jacket, pulling at the buttons as it became loose. He slipped his arms one by one and it was a bit difficult with how close they were pressed up against each other. Ric growled at her as he fed from her. He couldn’t get enough of her blood, the power to his veins. His heart was starting to beat for her, he yearned for her. Was this love or lust? No, it was neither, it was deeper than that. Ric was hungry for her, not just for her blood, though it felt like that right at the moment.

just close your eyes, the sun is going downYOU'LL BE ALRIGHT, NO ONE CAN HURT YOU NOW come morning light, you and i'll be safe and sound5 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
His blood flowed down her throat in hungry gulps. Soft growls and purrs slipped out from her lip, muffled by the contact with his skin. In all her many many years of life and several of death, Lexi had never experienced anything like this. The power that his blood contained consumed her, igniting her entire body. A delicious heat washed over her body. There was no way she wanted this to end. A part of her wanted to drain ever last drop from him, enjoying the sensation of his life flowing into her. Sharp fangs were in her neck again as Alaric fed from her again. Strong arms held her against him, in a tight embrace. Though it was not as if she wanted to go anywhere away from him. In fact, the elder vampire only wanted to be closer to him.
There was an ache in her chest. A need for him. Shit! The one side effect of blood sharing, the one that she never thought could happen…was happening. They were bonding. A need for him in all facets. A longing that she had not even felt with Lee was tearing at her very soul. This man was hers. Every urge, every desire. A sea of emotions made her dizzy. Lust made her body press harder against; pressing his body against the wall roughly. Love made her pull from his neck in a soft pant and kiss along the wounded skin with blood soaked lips. There was no going back. There was no way she could stop this, even if she wanted to. Right now she didn’t want to. A yearning like she had never known burned and raged. Every fiber wanted to be with him. The thoughts were primal even; surprising the woman. ‘Mine. Mine, Mine’ Her mind mentally growled over and over. Something so deep.
Letting out a small cry of surprise when her back was slammed against the wall. Ric attempted to remove his jacket and Lexi was all but willing to help. Her hands moved behind him, pulling the leather jacket from his shoulders. It was clear what he wanted and she felt the same. They needed each other. “Alaric,” her lips whimpered out in a breathy tone. Her head was light from the loss of blood and her body’s reaction to the bonding. They needed to slow down drinking from each other or they would both be too weak to continue. Besides, the blonde wanted to feel his lips on hers, tasting her own blood on his tongue.
Loosening in his grasp, the vampire pulled her neck free with a light hiss. One hand moved to his crimson stained face, cupping his cheek and her fingers running through his hair. Dark eyes lightened as she stared at him for a few moments. Lips parted, as she could not pull her soft chocolate eyes from his. The connection was undeniable and so powerful. Closing the distance, Lexi’s lips crashed against his. It was a claiming action. One that the vampire wasn’t even fully in control of. Unconsciously, she needed him to know he belonged to her. Her own beast fueled by the strongest need to have him completely. Nimble fingers of his free hand moved along his broad chest. Hard muscles lay under his shirt and she needed to feel them. Roughly, she ripped. Buttons flying every which way as she was far from gentle as she had been with his jacket. “Sorry.” the apology was mumbled against his mouth as her tongue sought entrance, begging to be allowed in.
Heat radiated from his chest as her nails softly scratched down his lightly haired chest. A purr of delight escaped. The wound on her throat had long since healed, leaving only a dark red smug of blood. The dizziness that had caused her to pull her throat from him was easing as well, giving way to the desire for him. She knew they would need to talk about what was going on between them, but now she didn’t care about the consequences of their actions. “Ric.” Her voice purred against his mouth as her free hand began to tug at his belt. “I want…I need…” The words just didn’t seem to convey the yearning she had for him correctly. Growing frustrated with being unable to express what she felt, she looked at him. Their gaze meeting. “You, just you.” Was the only things that she could come close to saying. At this moment, he was everything.

Alaric could feel the life-filled blood leave his body and enter into her mouth. Lexi seemed like she hadn’t fed in a while either as she hungrily gulped his blood like it was water or as if he life depended on it. Alaric was lost in the feeling it gave him, the feeling of life leaving the body and the high that it gave. The continuous purring and growls were making Alaric more in the mood. What was going on exactly? It was such a intoxicating feeling that he was drowning in and he never wanted to leave it. The sensations were never experienced before by Alaric and it was new and exotic. Who knew that vampire sharing could be that pleasant and erotic? Alaric tugged Lexi closer to him and leaned his head out even more, making it an easy meal for Lexi, giving her his blood willingly since she was giving out so much of her own. If this was what being a vampire felt like, then Alaric loved this new life of his, his second chance. It really was a second chance that he wasn’t going to take for granted and by being with Lexi now, he was living his life to its fullest. The blood continued to trickle down his throat as he fed from her slowly, it contained so much power and life within it. It was completely indescribable.
Alaric’s arms forcefully held onto her and grabbed her close all at the same time. He wished she could only get closer somehow, but that would require the two of them becoming one. There was just something about her now that was drawing Ric tightly to her, as if he was bound to her in some way that he could understand. He wanted her, he needed her. What was going on with his mind? Was this something that sharing blood could do? Was it permanent or temporary? Whatever it was, Ric only knew what he wanted now, which was to stay connected to her in every and any way possible. He had never felt an urge so strong to want something, to crave a being in this way. Ric felt like he was her soulmate, her lover. Mentally, he shook his head, trying to comprehend his current thoughts about Lexi Branson. Ric felt as if he had known her forever, or had deep affections for her though he had only met her an hour or so ago. In a way, Ric did know about Lexi before their physical meeting, through the words of Elena and Stefan and their brief encounters before she was slaughtered by Damon Salvatore. Thank God she was back, he didn’t know what he would do if she wasn’t there by his side now. Wait, what?
The urges for her were stronger than any masculine feeling of urgency he had ever experienced before. It was combined with lust, desire and all other feelings related to those. He hoped this would last forever, but of course it couldn’t. Lexi then pressed up against his body, pushing him deeper into the wall in his apartment. The fangs retracted out of his neck and soft kisses were planted on the fresh wound and areas around it. Ric felt as if he couldn’t pull away from her, and by the looks and feels of Lexi, she couldn’t either. What was this deep feeling of passion? Had she drugged him in some way through her own blood? Ric didn’t even care right now, he was just living in the moment and enjoying the sensations he was experiencing like never before. Slamming her against the wall, she lightly cried, and as he tried to take off his jacket, she happily aided him in removing it. This told him that she wanted what he wanted too. Then she lifted her lips up to speak and lightly whimpered his name in hushed tones due to a lack of oxygen. At first, he ignored it, but then lightly pulled his fangs out of her neck as she also pulled him out of her skin as well, before he began to look at her in the eyes.
The blonde lightly hissed at him, he hadn’t realized how much blood he had taken from her, but she was generous in giving as much as she did. They stood there looking at one another, with blood covering their faces like animals and beasts. But the two were beasts, or at least Alaric felt like one. Her hand raised to his face and cupped his cheek and he leaned in to her touch and his eyes softened in their gaze. Her slender fingers rose up and ran through his hair, a light smile formed on his lips, revealing his fangs lightly. He knew she wanted him and he made it obvious that he wanted her too. The two now stared at one another with dark eyes filled with blood-lust, but then after a few moments, both of their eyes lit up back to their normal color once again. Though, just as things seemed to be calming down, Lexi, like a vicious tiger had smashed her lips onto his own and he became wild again as one of his hands rose to the back of her head to get a grip on her. Lexi was so wild and sexy, it made him crazy. Alaric tightly pressed his lips against her, but tried to back up his head just so he could kiss her back and move along her lips. Her small fingers wandered up his chest and Alaric lightly growled, she wanted him.
Lexi then roughly ripped his shirt off of him. The buttons quickly flew in all directions and he didn’t mind it. It was sexy and rough, just the way Ric was craving it right now. She then tried to apologized as she mumbled against his lips and her tongue lightly touched his lips, and with that, Ric parted his lips to give her tongue the entrance it desired. His own tongue flickered out of his mouth and into her own, playing with hers as he was able to taste his own blood. His revealed chest had her nails trailing down it now and then Alaric’s hand on her back had traveled upwards before traveling down again and tugging at her shirt, trying to pull it upwards in order to take it off. Breaking the kisses, she had called out his name in a purr that vibrated lightly against his lips and he smirked against her mouth and stopped his kisses in order to hear her out, but still remaining close to her. But as he stopped, he felt a tug down below at his belt, his eyes wandered downwards to see her hand demanding release of the belt. She tried to mumble words to him, that she wanted, needed something. Frustration slightly flushed her face before she had just looked at him and told him that she wanted him, and just him. Alaric stood there speechless. ”I want only you. I need you, if you weren’t here...I am not sure I would be able to survive..” His words came out as a whisper. His words sounded cheesy and could not even begin to describe how he was feeling, but it was a start.
The vampire then undid his belt with one hand as he quickly shoved down his pants, revealing his boxer-briefs. Ric pressed his face against Lexi’s, kissing her over and over again and he wiggled lightly out of his pants to get them off of his legs. His hands moved up to her face to cup her face gently, yet firmly as he planted passionate and meaningful kisses on her crimson lips. His hands then fell from her face and then tore off her shirt and started to undo her own pants, but before he could undo the button, he pushed them both into the wall on the other side of the apartment and his face moved down to her chest that was still covered by a bra, but kissed around the hidden breasts and then pushed her onto the bed. All of his movements were of the supernatural and powerful, but gentle all at the same time. Laying her down, his head traveled down her chest to her belly button and hot breath was exhaled onto her skin, determined to send chills down her spine and cause a sensation of arousal for her. His hands traveled around her body and reached to her pants and quickly threw them off and it appeared to be very quick and effortless. Then an urge came within him to say that he loved her....love? So quick? Alaric then stopped and his gaze met up with hers as he stood up and asked firmly, ”What is wrong with me?!” He was almost fearful, but did enjoy the feeling, but needed to know what was going on before it drove him mad.
