Her last living memory was looking into his eyes. They were dark and cold. Time had ran out and it was finally time to say goodbye…the first time. When the wooden stake plunging into her chest had given her no time to say goodbye to her best friend. But then again she had no idea that his brother would thrust the piece of wood deep into her heart. Had she known, the elder vampire might have ripped his heart out years ago. The damage was done and the shock of being dead had worn off. Stefan was left to fend for himself. The blonde could only hope his resolve stayed strong and things worked out with his new girl Elena. Needless to say, she missed the Salvatore and she missed the love of her life Lee. In truth, the other side was not as bad as many might think. Just as in life, she could do as she wanted. People that she had not seen for ages were there; her mother and father, friends of the past but there was always something missing. That void that could never be filled, not until those important to her passed on into this lifetime. Faces that she remembered from her life came. She and Rose rekindled, updating the vampire on what had been happening in the land of the living.
He fell from grace again. Just by looking at him she could see that he had slipped again. Their friendship was so strong that she just knew. This made the third time she had to try to save him from himself. Whatever spell had been cast brought the dead back to the living. Luckily it had been just in the nick of time too. Stefan had turned off his emotions and became the thing she hated most about him. What a dance the two of them seemed to share. There was no time for pleasantries. Just rolling up her sleeves and getting Stefan back. The last time she had seen him like this was 1935. The spell did not last long enough to get through to him. The torch had been passed on to Elena. Lexi only hoped that the human was strong enough to cut through the anger and pain to the humanity that was underneath in him.
How was she back? How did breath fill her lungs? It had been almost three years since she had been killed by Damon. How was she back and given this chance again to live? Was it permanent like the last or would the vampire’s time be cute short as it had been before? There was only one person that she needed to get the answers from. It had always been her job to look out for him. Hopefully Elena had did what she was suppose to and helped him. Stefan, she had to find Stefan.
Stefan hadn’t been at his old place and the blonde didn’t have a clue what his cell phone number was. There was no way she would wait around the boarding house for her best friend to show up…even if he was still in Mystic Fall. There was too much of a chance that she would run into Damon. That vampire had a death wish if he so much as looked at her. Bastard killed her, shoving a stake deep through her heart. Whatever diabolical plan that he been working on had better have been worth it. Knowing the older Salvatore brother, it was hardly good. Elena’s house was her other options. She had no idea where it was but with a little digging and compelling a nice lady at the school, she got the address. If anyone knew where Stefan was, it would be Elena Gilbert. Stepping up to the door, the blonde tilted her head. “Stefan you better be in there.”

Listening closely, Lexi could hear one heartbeat. Dammit! Cursing under her breath she thought about turning to leave. If she had to tear the town apart to find Stefan she would. As much as she knew that Stefan needed her, she needed her best friend more than anything right now. coming back from the dead had a way to really unnerve a person. In fact she would not dare say it out loud to anyone but Stefan, she was afraid. For the first time in ages, she was afraid. The heart beat grew stronger, as did footsteps. The source drew closer. A scent wafted from the door. It was Elena. Thank God she was the one home. She would know where Stefan was. No one was so much attached at the hip to that boy as Elena was…or so she thought. Being dead for three years would cause her to miss so much. Even with the few hours of her first resurrection, the two were together…even if Ripper Stefan did not see it that way. Lexi had no idea that Elena had chose the other Salvatore brother. She had no idea that her killer was now Elena’s lover, leaving her best friend alone.
The door opened slowly, revealing the pretty human that held Katherine’s face. Lucky for the bitch brunette, they had never met. Lexi had a bone to pick with the girl that caused Stefan so much pain over the years. One day, she would happily meet her. As long as the spell that held her to this existence held out. The first reaction was predictable. Back from the dead…again? Yeah, pretty much what she expected when Elena saw her. The blonde cast a bright smile on her face; hoping to ease any discomfort that Elena might have. The smile came next followed by words of shock. Before Lexi would answer any question with her limited knowledge of what was happening, the girl was just over the threshold enough that she could grab her and wrap her arms around her. They might not have had a chance to get to know each other , thanks to Damon cutting their time short. But the young girl held her best friend’s heart and earned the elder vampire’s respect and friendship a long time ago. Being without anyone made her want the physical contact that came with the hug. Her eyes close for a moment, relishing in the closeness with another person. The scent of her blood slowly began to move up to her nose. She was hungry. It had been a long time since she had fed but she was still in control. First goal, find Stefan. Goal number two, get a dozen blood bags and pig out. Goal three? Whatever the hell she wanted after that. Pulling back, she gave a smile. “I missed you girly.”
It was Q & A time. This was expected but she could only give limited answers. “ Your guess is just as good as mine. All the ghosts were sent back and I‘m pretty sure everyone had peace. I was sent back. But as you could feel.” Her hands rose up in a big shrugging motion. “I’m not a ghost. I’m alive…ish.” Leaning by the door frame, a smirk crossed her lips. No wonder he liked her so much. A dead vampire is standing on her front porch and all Elena is concerned is the peace of all the ghosts found peace. Her arms crossed over her chest, relaxing in the brunette’s presence. “You mind inviting me in? Might be a little less awkward talking about this on your porch. What would the neighbors think?” A small giggle slipped out , hoping that the girl would trust her enough to invite her in. If not, then we could at least go for a drink…yes she was a lush vampire. “Hey, do you know where Stefan is? He wasn’t a his place and I figured that he would be with you.” There was a concerned look in her eyes. Stefan had always been something of her responsibility. It was her job to look out for the male…and she really needed him.
