History:
Aura grew up as an only child in a hunting family up in lonely North Dakota. Although having a permanent home, Aura and her father often went out on hunting expeditions. Aura started training at age four, ever since she could hold a bow and Arrow. She was taught that an arrow wound couldn't heal unless the arrow was taken out and that it'd cause more pain to the target. Aura became a very good shooter, almost never missing a shot.
One day on a hunting expedition with her father on Aura's thirteenth birthday, they were trapped. Aura and her father had strayed from the rest of the hunting group and got trapped by a pack of vampires. After putting up a fight, they surrendered. The leader of the pack let Aura go, but they took her father for whatever reason the leader had. Aura found her way back to the rest of the hunting group and was found crying with cuts and bruises.
Aura searched for her dad with the rest of the group all night. They could never find the vampire pack, it was like they'd packed up and left. Aura also changed after that. She was scared of showing weakness then and she was aimed at killing all vampires, and supernatural creatures. She didn't show mercy, or feel bad like she used to. She used her beauty and disguise to get her where she wanted.
Meeting the Winchesters
Like every hunter, meeting the Winchester brothers was an honor. She never tipped off that she was a hunter though, and she didn't think that they knew. It was a usual day for Aura. Waiting tables at one of the many restaurants that she worked at. She took the table Dean and Sam had sat at. They were on a case, a difficult one by the looks of it too. Aura didn't do anything, though she did get a look and a listen at what they were looking for. A succubus of some sort.
As she waited their table, Aura flirted with both of them, mostly Dean. She pick pocketed a few dollars from his pockets and got a look at what they had so far. She put herself on the case as well, keeping a low radar. But Aura couldn't do anything about it. As soon as she figured something out, it turned out that the Winchester brothers were two steps ahead of her.
Moving to Mystic Falls
Hearing about the recent spike in supernatural activity in Mystic Falls, Aura decided to pack up from San Francisco and move over to Mystic Falls. She got herself the usual job of waiting tables at the Mystic Grill, and got herself a cheap condo. She didn't expect to run into anyone she knew, especially since it was a small town, and the rumor of activity wasn't loud yet. She kept a low profile, only hunting when it was necessary.
It wasn't a difficult move to her, it was just the usual thing. She wasn't fazed by it at all. When she arrived, she was surprised about the jump in activity here. The last time she'd been here was at least five years ago and from what she remembered there weren't that many vampires, or werewolves, or hybrids around for that matter.
Losing Her Family
Getting the call from one of her fellow hunters telling her that her mother was dead was one of the worst memories in the world. Aura had just woken up, the night before being a hunting trip gone well. She got out of the shower and changed into some sweats and a baggy sweater before receiving the call. She was just going into her kitchen to get some cereal when her phone rang.
Aura got the call. At first, she couldn't respond. It wasn't fair, really. It seemed Karma was biting her in the butt for killing that vampire child. She didn't attend the funeral, or the burial. It didn't seem right. Doctors said her mother died of natural causes, but Aura knew better. It was probably the old vampire pack leader who'd killed her father. It was probably him. Aura didn't cry, even though her insides were clawing at her. All she did was relax, and prepare for more hunting.[/ul]
RP Sample:
Aura stood in the shower for a while, thinking about how she could stop the demons. She stood there, strategizing, coming up with maps and plans inside her head. She needed to stop. It wasn't good standing in the shower and strategizing. After scrubbing her hair and her body, Aura stepped out of the shower. She wrapped her green towel around herself and wiped away at the fog in the mirror. Her black hair was messy, but it was clean now. There was no more dirt on her face, and her blue eyes were clear and bright. She hummed herself a tune while she combed out the knots in her hair. It was a tune that her mother used to sing to her, after her father died. It was always stuck in Aura's head, and she always hummed it. Quietly, or loudly. It was a habit she never grew out of.
She walked out of the bathroom into her bedroom, eyeing the bow and arrow. Did I leave it like that? Was it moved? The thoughts ran through her head as she laughed and shook her head, God, Aura, you're too paranoid. She changed into black skinny jeans and a white tank top under a leather jacket. She eyed herself in the mirror, making sure she would still look fine with her uniform on. Hunting was only once a week, waiting on tables was every other night available. She was supposed to have two days off a week, but the grill was always busy, so she worked a lot of nights. As long as she got paid.
Aura sat on the couch, pulling on black boots she checked the time on her phone. She still had enough time to do whatever. She worked the late shift anyways. She ran her hair through her still wet, wavy hair, and sighed. She leaned back on the couch, knowing things weren't going to turn out so well if the pattern kept repeating. If it did, hunters would go extinct. Aura's thinking was interrupted by a clatter, coming from her bedroom. She stood up and ran over to her bedroom, looking in. It was empty, but the window was shattered, and her bow was gone. Ah, come on. You've gotta be kidding me.[/ul][/blockquote]
