This whole hunter thing was a bit harder than she originally thought. Well, being a hunter that was human that was. It had been so much easier to kick ass when she had been a demon. True, she had been evil back then, and was usually the one kicking good’s ass, but that didn’t matter now. She was trying this whole right her wrongs thing, and it wasn’t exactly going as perfectly planned. Ruby had magically woke up in this place called Mystic Falls, that was after the Winchesters shoved her own knife into her chest. After that she realized she couldn’t go down the same path anymore, she was going to have to change. That meant doing everything pretty much the opposite she had been doing before. That meant killing her the ones that she had been working with. That meant everyone hating her, even more than before when she helped bring the end of the world.
She had made really no friends when she had arrived at Mystic Falls. For those who didn’t know her, they hated her attitude, and could sense that something was off on her. It was hard, especially since she was trying to find a job and pay for things instead of stealing it. Then there was though that knew of her. They didn’t manage to get one word out before attempting to chop of her head. How rude was that? However, there had been one person that decided to befriend her. There was that one light in the darkness. His name was Castiel and he was an angel. The very same angel that had fell for the aid of the Winchester boys. He was the only one that could see that she was trying to change, and offered her help and protection as being a human meant that she was mortal. Too bad the whole teaching thing was failing miserably.
Ruby had found out about a demon that was preying on young women. He would hang out at either a bar or the club, and try to take them home. That was until he could find the nearest dark place where he could do what he pleased, then pretty much tore them to shreds. It was a good thing she was a girl, and that she had boobs. She had started out the night at a bar. She had wore a pair of tight dark jeans, some boots, and a nice corset type top that definitely gave her enough cleavage. She had acted like she had too much to drink, and even though the demon looked like a sleaze, she flirted with the bastard. It didn’t take long for him to offer to go back to his place. It also didn’t take long for him to shove her down an alleyway and show off his mighty fine black eyes.
“Oh no. I’m so scared. Dear god, someone help me.” Ruby had called out sarcastically, with a slight chuckle. The demon looked confused and pissed. “Oh sorry. I am not one of your play toys that becomes beef jerky. Name’s Ruby and I’m here to send your ass back to hell.” Ruby grinned as she moved to kick him. That was until the demon had caught her foot. She frowned as he pushed her back, causing her to fly into some metal garbage bins. “I guess this is going to be harder than I thought..” She mumbled, pulling out her knife, a special one to kill him. Apparently that just made him even more pissed off.
It took a good five minutes of back to back combat before she began to get out of breath. Ruby was pretty sure she had a cracked rib and could feel the warmth of the blood oozing out from the cut on her brow. She had thought she managed to sneak up behind him to stab him with the knife, when the demon turned around and grabbed her by the neck. The demon picked her up and slammed her against the brick wall. The sheer force made her drop her knife. She could feel him cutting off her airway. Well, this wasn’t how she pictured on dying. Perhaps she should have practiced more, or she wasn’t cut out for the whole hunter thing. So much for having a knight in shining armor. Castiel wouldn’t even know.
