It was winter time on Earth. A time for family and friends… fellowship and laughter. There was a thing that the humans practiced, a thing called Christmas where one would exchange gifts for another. It was fast approaching, and even though Brielle had read up on what the holiday was, she still didn’t quite get it. So there was a fictitious man called Santa that is loosely based on a historical saint. Christmas trees were once a pagan tradition of decorating a tree and burning it for the lord. Then the gifts. It was customary to give everyone gifts, to your family and friends, even the man that delivers a thing called mail. It was very confusing to someone that had never experienced it before.
Yet, there was also something magical about the time. Here in Mystic Falls, the snow softly fell. It wasn’t too heavy that one would have to stay inside, nor too slushy to where one could fall on the ice. It was perfect. So the town did what the town did best, it threw a celebration. The whole town seemed to be involved. There was dancing and twinkling lights. There was ice skating and people singing songs. It was so beautiful, Brielle was completely ecstatic when Alex had invited her to partake in that evening’s activities.
She had been fretting over what to get him for days. Gabrielle didn’t know what to call him. There was many terms that people used, she just didn’t know the right one. She just knew that Alex was hers and no one elses. That being said, she felt obligated to get him a gift. Brielle was puzzled. He didn’t seem like the kind of person to want something material. She debated on getting him a rare book, but it didn’t seem right. So she planned something of her own. Something that no human could do. Something only an Angel could pull off. However, that was for later. He was going to have to wait until the end of the festivities to figure out his present.
Gabrielle was instructed to meet him there. She was already awestruck by what the residents had put on. There was lanterns hanging in the trees, and it smelled like chocolate and pine trees. It was simply divine. Brielle decided she would have to dress for the occasion, in order to blend in with the towns people. The thing she hated most was shoes. Last thing Brielle needed was frostbite though. She decided on a plain green cotton dress with black stockings and boots. What made it more special though was the red velvet cape with fur trimmings that looked exactly like a coat one in the Victorian era would wear. Her blonde hair was intricately curled to one side, and leather gloves kept her fingers warm. Brielle waited patiently in the town square, her eyes glancing between the people to see if she could recognize anyone that she could know.

[/img] Despite how much time they had spent together and how obvious it was that they cared for each other, Alex was still incredibly nervous in inviting Brielle to Mystic Falls’ Winter Wonderland dance. He was still slightly in awe of his whole experience with Brielle. It was amazing enough that she was an angel, but what knocked him off of his feet even more was that the two of them were involved. Being a Christian, he had always believed in angels, of course, but he never knew that they actually interacted with humans. One could just imagine Alex’s delight when Brielle agreed to be his date to the dance. He would have gone whether he had a date or not (after all, dancing was just too much fun to pass up), but it was definitely much more fun to have company while doing said dancing. Alex was parked in a small parking lot in downtown Mystic Falls near where the festivities would be taking place. He ran a hand through his hair before putting on his top hat. It might be a bit formal for the evening, but Alex dressed formally in day to day life, so he would have to step it up a notch, of course. He shut the door behind him and locked the door, making sure that his tie was straight before beginning his walk to the main square. It didn't take him long to find Brielle. Even though she was dressed like an everyday human (even shoes!), she seemed to just stick out from the crowd. Or at least to Alex she did. " Brielle!" he said, happily as he came to a halt in front of her," You look absolutely beautiful!" Alex smiled broadly at her and pulled her into a hug. " Ah! I brought you a little surprise," he said, pulling out a small package from his jacket pocket. It contained a red rose corsage embellished with Baby's Breath.[/blockquote]

Sam and Dean Winchester had arrived to Mystic Falls and Castiel had explained everything to them, about the prophecy and what the Leviathans had planned. Castiel now was going to reside in Mystic Falls until the threat of Lucifer escaping was no more. The only reason he stayed in Mystic Falls and didn’t venture out was because there were the humans he needed to protect and the souls that he needed to help. During his stay, he had met a few of the resurrected beings that have died and risen back to life. Castiel wasn’t spending all of this time with the Winchesters, instead, he was trying to speak to the creatures and humans that resided in the town. An army was going to be needed, and the townspeople all seemed quite aware of the creatures that lurked in their small town of Mystic Falls. Castiel was bewildered that not all creatures were savage killers, even the creatures of the same species appeared differently from one another. This town was surely something interesting and unique in itself. Castiel was continually changing from the angel that had first met the Winchesters when it came to his tolerance and understanding for supernatural creatures and the human race.
Tonight was the night of the Winter Wonderland, or so they called it. Cas wasn’t one to attend such events, but it was at night and all of those that he needed to protect and cared for were attending the event, so he decided he might as well make an appearance, since the angels in Heaven weren’t so welcoming. Castiel didn’t mind it, he had made peace with the past and all he could do was try to change the present and do all he could in his power to prevent an apocalypse. Walking lightly, the snow crunched softly under his feet as fresh snow continued to lightly fall from the sky. Approaching the event, the lights were colorful and numerous. Many individuals had attended the event from what he could see. Nothing was really organized, like a formal dance, but instead it seemed more casual. Cas wandered alone, looking at everyone, feeling their emotions and hearing their thoughts and their prayers as he would pass by. Suddenly, the presence of another angel could be felt once again. It was a few days ago that he could feel an angel using their abilities, but he couldn’t get to it quick enough. What other angel was in Mystic Falls now? It wasn’t Balthazar, though Castiel did hope he would eventually come around to help him in his fight once again.
The aura of the angel could be felt strongly now and he wasn’t going to let it escape him once again, he needed to know which angel had been here without him knowing and for what reason they were there. As he continued to quickly walk, he finally saw her. Gabrielle?! He froze in his place and his eyes widened as his mouth dropped. Castiel then appeared quickly in front of her, not caring about the beast that was with her. From what he could see of the male’s true identity, he was a werewolf. What was she doing with a werewolf? Castiel could easily sense the love between the two of them and this definitely shocked the angel. ”Brielle, what are you doing here?” The angel seemed calm and stern, but that was only because he wasn’t all too good at expressing his emotions. Being with a human though, wasn’t an entire shock since she always had the desire to help the humans. Her human vessel was a face he did not recognize, but he could feel the aura of her angelic presence that gave off her true identity. Castiel wanted to know everything, why had she fallen to earth? Turning his back to the male who looked like he was trying to present a flower to her and walked right in front of Brielle, he asked in a hushed tone, ”Why have you fallen? And does this beast know what you truly are? Have you fallen for him? Castiel questioned, eagerly searching for answers. Brielle was like a little sister to the angel. He was protective over her, and knowing that she had preferred to seek out a werewolf instead of seeking out Castiel first had lightly insulted him.

Gabrielle wasn’t too sure about what her and Alex were exactly. She had read about what names that two people could be called: a couple, her boyfriend, her mate, her lover. She just didn’t know which one applied to them, or even if she could put a label on what they were. All she knew was that she loved him and wanted to spend as much time as she could with him. Brielle liked when he held her in his arms, the way his kisses felt against her lips. Perhaps that is why she had been so worried about what she had looked like that night. After all, she had one shoes, and even make up! She even styled her hair. It was thanks to these things called magazines. All she had to do was copy the pictures. Brielle had done a pretty good job with it too.
She had been looking around, feeling a bit chilly while she waited for him. Brielle had been early only because she could simply appear there and she didn’t want to wait any longer. It didn’t take long for her to find Alex though. He normally dressed nice, but it looked like he went all out that evening. He wore a regular tie and even a hat. She liked the hat, but she was tempted to take it off of him to run her fingers through his hair. Her grin grew even wider when he finally spotted her, her cheeks turning pink. He had made his way towards her and called her beautiful. “Really?” She asked, grinning. “I guess I decided to do what human girls did. There is a thing called a magazine, it really is informative.” She really liked when he hugged her, she wanted to be there forever. That was until she felt it.
Gabrielle knew that one of them was here too. By them she meant angel. She could feel another angel’s presence. She didn’t know who exactly, but she knew that someone was in the same area as her. A part of her was scared, scared that if they found her that they would punish her for falling. Yet, she was excited that she wasn’t the only one that was here. That there was someone else just like her. However, it seemed that the angel decided to seek her out first. The man practically pushed Alex away from her as he spoke, asking what she was doing. It didn’t take but a moment to figure out exactly who the angel was inside of the unfamiliar vessel. “Castiel?!” She exclaimed, utter shock plastered on her face. “Is that really you? They told me that you were gone.. But it’s really you.. you really are here!” She cried out. Without missing a beat, Gabrielle jumped up onto Castiel, hugging him and remained clinging onto him. Her brother had found her!
That was until he questioned why she was here, and even suggested that Alex was the reason why she had fell. Gabrielle moved to get off of him before looking at Alex with an apologetic expression. Immediately she moved to grab his hand pulling him away from where Alex could hear her. She looked up at him, attempting to keep herself from crying. “Why do you ask why I fell if you know exactly why I had to? They were going to kill them Castiel. They wanted me to help destroy the humans. Our father created me to heal them, how could I possibly hurt them? I couldn’t do it. So they punished me. I wanted to find you but they said you..” She cut herself off, wiping her eyes. “Ugh. I don’t understand why human bodies leak so much!”
Brielle took a moment to compose herself. “I don’t understand either. Ever since being here in Mystic Falls I have been stuck.. stuck in this vessel. I need to eat and sleep.. and I can get hurt. That’s not supposed to happen. But.. I found him. His name is Alex.” She started, looking back up at her brother. “And he is not a beast, so don’t be so mean. He even saved me from Crowley’s demons. I do not know what I did to him, but apparently Crowley hates me. I don’t like him either. Anyway. He is a werewolf, but he is also very nice. I fell for him.. fell in love that is. I feel like there is a purpose now that he’s here, so be nice to him!” She scolded him, her finger shaking at him.
Just like that, she went from serious and crying to bubbly. That was simply how Brielle was. “Oh I am so excited that you are back though, Castiel! I missed you so.” She exclaimed spinning around and clapping her hands. “Now come on, come and meet Alex.” With that, she pulled him back to Alex to introduce them.
