Wow, she’d really messed up this time. Only back alive for one freaking day and she messed things up really bad. What she really needed was to talk to Stefan but the boy kept seeming to allude her. Where the hell was he? Lexi was in a crisis and he was no where to be found. The girl didn’t even have a number to try to reach him. Elena couldn’t help her with this and she wasn’t about to go to Damon Salvatore unless she was retuning the favor, shoving a stake in his heart. The Winter Wonderland festivle was cute but it only acted as a mild distraction. It was clear that she messed things up with Alaric. He hated her.
The blood sharing that happened between the two had the side effect that she feared. The two were now bonded to one another. Only time would fade the bond if they did not continue to feed into it and on one another. She was going to warn him that it could happen but he never gave her the chance before his fangs were deep in her neck and she was submitting to him. What made things worse was what happened next. Passion raged between the two of them as they fed from each other’s throats until both vampires could take no more. From one intimate act to another. They had sex. She’d only met him a few hours earlier and he was her everything.
Alaric was all she could think about. Was it just the bond? Of course it was just the bond. There was no way she could have real feelings for him after just one night together…could she? Her head shook at the thought as she wrapped her arms around herself. There was an ache in her chest that would not go away. Feeding from humans was almost impossible. Her hunger was never satisfied, even after she nearly drained an unsuspecting frat guy. Her body seemed to crave the former history teacher, needing him to survive. She had to find him; try to make some kind amends. Anything she had to do, she would. As it stood right now he thought she had betrayed him.
It was absurd idea. The male thought that she had wanted to make him fall in love with her. What reason would she have that would want a stranger in love with her? Did he not realize that a bond worked both ways? That she needed him so badly it physically hurt? Ending their evening together, he must have not. Mentally she flinched at the memories of him yelling at her. Giving a sigh, she passed all the happy people. The blonde’s nose crinkled as she walked along the sidewalk. The cool breeze brought an unmistakable scent to her nose, causing her to pause. It was him. It was Alaric.
Turning around quickly, Lexi looked for him. Just across the street he stood there…talking with another woman. A growl slipped out before she could stop it. Who was that and why was the woman standing so close to her man? He wasn’t hers and she had to mentally scold herself. The territorial nature of a vampire was shining through strongly, forcing her feet. Not even watching, avoiding an on coming car his scent grew stronger. Forcing a soft smile, she moved between the brunette and Ric. “Umm, hey. Ric I’m pretty sure I left my bra at your place. I looked everywhere for it and I think its under your bed. I’d really like it back.” There was a sensual tone to her voice. With a satisfied smile, the woman excused herself and walked away. As she did the smile left Lexi’s face and her expression softened. “I’m sorry but Ric we need to talk.” Tag: Alaric Words: 634

{Takes place before he meets his brother Elias}
Alaric didn’t want to leave his apartment ever again, for the world was too harsh whenever he tried to trust anyone in it. Betrayal seemed like it was nothing new in his life. All he tried to do was be honest and helpful to all whenever they needed him, but instead, she used him. Lexi Branson and Alaric had met in the bar a week or so before and in the end, he felt betrayed by her as the shared blood with one another and she didn’t even care to mention that it could make the two fall in love with one another. Alaric as if he was being played in how she offered her blood up to him, that it was just a trick to get someone to fall in love with her. But...if she was speaking the truth, then she would be having the same emotions of passion and love for Alaric. If it was all just an induced feeling because of the blood sharing, why should they even try to make it work? Alaric placed his head in his hands, starting down at the glass of scotch below him as the smell rose up in his nostrils. No, he wasn’t going to let this get him down. The guy was immortal dammit, he couldn’t waste it on emotions for a woman.
Alaric lifted his head, stood up and pushed his drink aside. He needed to get out and what better night to get out than on the night of the Winter Wonderland Celebration in towns square? At least he might get the chance to see Elena, Abigail, Stefan....etc. Alaric needed to reunite with his friends finally. It had been much too long since he had seen anyone and he missed them to be quite honest. Putting his arms through his leather jacket, he grabbed his keys and wallet and walked outside and began to make his way towards the town event. He needed something to distract his mind from Lexi, anything that could help besides sulking in his room and drinking a glass of liquor as his mind constantly lingered on it. His blood boiled at the mere thought of Lexi Branson. Shoving his hands in his pockets and sighing, he looked up and watched as his warm breath dissolved into the chilled air of the night. Already his spirits were lifting just by getting out of his room that he was cooped up in for the last few days. The vampire also needed to feed, but he was still not sure on how he felt about feeding off of humans. But nothing compared to the fulfillment that he gained from feeding from another vampire....
Apart of Alaric needed Lexi and so much desired to see her again, but his pride was in the way and didn’t want to see her at all. All of the text messages she tried to send to him, he denied her want to talk to him about the issue. The two had passionate and fiery sex and now he didn’t want anything to do with her. It gave a whole new meaning to one night stand. Though the night ended between them with Alaric shouting and yelling at her, furious with how he felt so betrayed and used by her. Shoving those thoughts from his mind, he approached the event and right as he got there, he ran into Meredith Fell. The two carried on a conversation about his whereabouts and how he was holding up and vice versa. The conversation didn’t go too long until the voice of the same bitch that betrayed him was heard saying that she had left a bra at his place and wanted it back. Meredith looked at the vampire before raising her eyebrows at her and Alaric before seeing her way off. The two quickly said their goodbyes and Alaric stood looking in the direction away from Lexi. Ric mentally scolded himself for not catching onto her scent and trying to avoid her. Lexi was never going to give up was she?
The tone about mentioning the bra was so sensual, and right in front of his ex-girlfriend. There was no chance of anything happening between Meredith and Alaric anytime soon..Well, Ric was hung up on the blonde ancient vampire anyway. Sighing, Ric caught the smile of satisfaction she gave as Meredith walked away from the two of them. But that cocky smile escaped from her lips and apologized before telling him that the two needed to talk. Alaric turned his back on Alexia and started to walk in the other direction without even speaking to her for a few moments. ”I don’t want to talk to you, go away...” The vampire could easily use force if she really wasn’t going to leave him alone anytime soon. Apart of him knew that the two really did need to sit down and talk about everything. Alaric even did his research in the mean time to see that blood sharing will affect both parties and the feelings they were feeling were mainly because of the blood. But did Ric really like Lexi? Well, he couldn’t say he didn’t, pushing her betrayal aside.
