Alex sobered a bit and ended his laugh prematurely when he saw the frown on her face. He gently placed his hand under her chin and forced her head up so that she was looking at him again. “No need for frowns,” he said tapping her chin and grinning before returning his hand to its place on the counter, still cornering Brielle. She was so much prettier when she smiled and he really didn’t want to see her upset.
“I’ll be sure to help you figure this whole thing out. Whatever you need,” he said, shrugging his shoulders. Alex might not be the everyday kind of human, but he definitely knew most of the ins and outs of what it meant to be a human. “I’ll teach you how to cook, if you like,” he said, reaching up and brushing a stray hair out of Brielle’s face.
He bit his lip as he waited for Brielle to answer his question. There was a small part of him that was absolutely terrified that she would say that she probably was not in love with him, even though all of the signs pointed to it and she had almost said it before. That was what a lot of rejection and heartbreak did to a person, though – it made them a bit paranoid and negative.
Alex was a little unprepared for what Brielle said. He raised his eyebrows and leaned back slightly when she revealed that some of her feelings towards him were improper.
His smile slowly returned to its place on his face as she explained her feelings towards him. He was about to speak when Brielle suddenly moved forward and kissed him. This kiss, he felt he was actually able to enjoy. There was no threat of his transformation happening that would cut it short. He slowly moved his hands from the counter and wrapped his arms around her, gently kissing her back.

She couldn’t help the leaking to her eyes. She wondered if all humans had a problem with this, or if it was just her. However, just like that Alex had caught on and forced her to look up at him. Her frown slowly turned into a slight smile when he said there was no need for it. So he really wasn’t making fun of her… it was just an interesting situation. This is what she didn’t understand about humans at all, their emotions. One moment she could be happy and dancing around, and the next minute she wanted to lock herself up in a room and cry. It was always fluctuating and she couldn’t control it, just as some sort of teenager wouldn’t be able to. She guessed she would just learn that within time.
Gabrielle nodded happily when he said that he would help her with the ins and outs of being human. “Good because I have no idea how long I will be stuck in this vessel. It would be better for me to become more human so I don’t have any more run ins with demons. However, I am very confused on why Crowley, the ruler of hell, would want me. I have done nothing to him or his fellow demons. I’m not the fighting type.” She explained, not wanting to remember the power she had used to expel the demons the previous night. She didn’t want to Alex how good that had felt. She slightly bounced up and down when he offered to teach her how to cook. “Good. Although, no meat. I can’t eat meat. But Milkshakes. I want to know how those work. Are they magic? Because they taste like magic..”
Apparently he liked what she had to say, the way he was smiling at her. She was speaking the truth, from her heart. Brielle loved humans, she never thought that one day she would fall in love with a human. Not only that but fall so quickly. Was it true about what they said about love at first sight, and soul mates? Could an angel have a soul mate? Gabrielle was quickly thinking that what they wrote in the books were true.
When she had pressed her lips to his, Alex had wrapped his arms around her. She liked this, she felt safe in those arms. In fact, she didn’t want to move from them at all. Brielle tilted her head back to get some sort of her breath back after he kissed her, and smiled as she leaned her forehead against his. “So I told you the truth, what about you Alex? What does your heart say?” She asked resting her hand on his chest.

[/img] Alex grinned when he saw that Brielle’s frown slowly turned into a smile. She was so much prettier when she smiled, after all. He frowned slightly when he saw the tears in her eyes spill out onto her cheeks. Carefully, he reached up and wiped her cheeks dry with the sleeve of his jacket. His grin grew a bit after her had dried her tears. “ There we are. Much better,’ he said, winking at her and lowering his hand once again. He never wanted her to cry. No matter how out of control her emotions might be, he hoped that he could always find a way to keep those tears at bay. His grin faltered ever so slightly when she brought up the demons and the ruler of Hell. He didn’t want to think about how extremely terrified he was of possibly losing Brielle to the demons. Alex might be slightly more powerful than the average human, but he was nothing compared to the demons. The salt in his cabinet was the only thing that saved them. The demons could easily snuff out his life if they really wanted to. Alex knew that. “ Don’t worry about that,” he said with a grin and a shake of his head,” I’ll do what I can to help you blend in.” “ Magic? No, no. They’re made of ice cream and milk, if I recall correctly,” he said with a grin. Alex glanced off to the side, thinking about any vegetarian meals he might know…but he was drawing a blank. He would have to do a little research and make an archive of vegetarian recipes that he could teach her. “ Alright, then. We’ll have a meat free cooking session soon,” he said with a nod. Alex found himself extremely disappointed when Brielle moved her lips from his, even though he needed air. He never wanted to stop kissing her; he wanted to be this close to her always. With a grin, he lowered his head slightly so that their foreheads were able to meet. " I knew it the moment I saw you, Brielle," he said, glancing down at her through smiling eyes," I love you."[/blockquote]

Brielle smiled when he had made her feel better. She knew that he will be always able to make her feel better no matter what. She wasn’t even crying because of him. The only time she was sad because of Alex was turning his transformation. That was only because of the fact that she had to sit there and watch him in so much pain and she couldn’t do anything to help him. For once in her life she had felt helpless. That didn’t mean that Gabrielle was going to turn around and run away from that. No, she will be there for him every single full moon from now… because no one deserved to be alone like that.
She could see the fear in his eyes, the falter in his answers when she had mentioned the demons. She knew what werewolves are, but she didn’t know everything about them. Did they have abilities, she didn’t know. She did know how they could be killed. She knew how she could be killed. However, she wasn’t afraid of Crowley. True, he might have been the ruler of hell, but to even lay a hand on a healer angel, even one that possibly fell, would spark a huge war between the two. He wouldn’t stand a chance.
“Sorry. I know how hard it is to find stuff that isn’t meat. Yet, when you understand animals… it’s kind of hard to eat their brothers and sisters. Besides, sweets are much more better tasting.” Brielle exclaimed with a grin. She was looking forward to Alex teaching her how to cook. In fact she was excited for anything that he was going to teach her. She had spent numerous years trying to picture herself doing human things, and now she has the chance. All she needed was a teacher. All she needed was Alex.
Brielle felt her heart flutter with the words he had said. She had only read something like this in books or in her imagination. Never once did she find someone that would actually love her. Resting her head against his chest, she felt home. “Then, I will make you a promise. No matter what happens, No matter what the future holds, I will always stay by your side, Alex. Always.”
