[/img] Alex was sitting at his kitchen table. The house was empty by now. David, Vincent and Jacob had all gone out for the night, for obvious reasons. None of his roommates were completely human, so they were all very open about their supernatural problems. However, at the same time, they all respected each others’ privacy when it came to those problems, which was why the other three men vacated the house on the night of the full moon. Despite being a positive person, Alex really did not like what he had allowed himself to become, which meant that he didn’t like people to see him on the night of the full moon. It was…frightening to say the least. He sighed and glanced down at the uneaten meal that was on his plate. It really was a good idea to eat before the transformation, otherwise you would feel quite sick the next day, but…he just couldn’t force down the food. He always ended up feeling so nervous right before the transformation. Alex was not a fan of pain – he could barely deal with it in normal, everyday situations, so when it came to the pain of transforming…well, excruciating would be a good work to describe it. Alex shoved the uneaten plate of food away from him and sighed as he moved down to the basement of the medium sized house. He opened the door and flipped on the light as he walked down the creaky, wooden stairs. The sun was going down and he wanted to make sure that he was safely locked away in his cage before time caught up with him. He creaked the door open and slipped inside of the cage, closing the door behind him and he shut it with a satisfied clicking noise. Just for safe measure, he shook the door of the cage violently, but it stayed shut. With a sigh, he lowered himself to the ground and began loosening his tie.[/blockquote]

Brielle was in the middle of walking through the forest. Nature was always something she enjoyed. The feeling of the damp earth between her bare toes. How the wind felt against her naked skin. She was wearing a white sundress, which was a bit dirty from climbing the trees. She had found some bushes of beautiful flowers and made a crown of them. It was the beauty of earth, and it was sad how humans didn’t stop to appreciate it more often. Besides, it was a perfect place to think. It had been approximately two weeks since she had met Alex in the bookshop. They have pretty much seen each other every single day. If he was working at Barnes and Noble, she was there, often buying many many books just to stay in the store. She would often surprise him with a milkshake, strawberry, his favorite. If he wasn’t working, they were doing something together. Whether it was trying a new food or watching movies. She wasn’t a fan of movies, but it was a perfect time just to sit close to him. She was confused by her feelings towards him. She could feel her vessel’s heart race, her hands felt clammy, her face warm. She had no clue what it was, mainly because she never really new human emotion.
Her eyes looked up to the sky as the sun was starting to set. Immediately she scaled one of the pine trees to study if further. Although the stars were twinkling, the moon was rising. She frowned. It was a full moon. Brielle knew exactly what that meant. It wouldn’t be too long until Alex changed into his other form. It was painful no doubt, having to go through that every month. He had told her that he locks himself up just to make sure he didn’t have to hurt anyone. That is what made her so very sad. The fact that he was so alone when all of this was happening to him. He was alone and hurting. Brielle simply wouldn’t allow that. She was a healer. She had these feelings. She needed to see him even though he told her not to.
Drawing in a sigh, she disappeared from the tree, and appearing in his basement. She jiggled the lock to the cage, but it was locked. No problem. In an instant it was open, walking inside, her dirty feet making footprints on the cement floor. Slowly she closed the door behind her, looking at him. With a small smile, she stayed exactly where she was. “Hello Alex.”

Alex undid his tie and tossed it aside. He always forgot to do this before heading down to the basement for some reason. The longer he wore his ties, the more they seemed to be a safety net for him. He always felt a bit strange when he wasn’t wearing one properly. Alex never was one for casual wear. The most casual he would get would be a short sleeve button up shirt with a sweater vest.
He jumped slightly when there was suddenly a person in the basement. It took him a moment to process who it was and how exactly they’d gotten in there. After he fully realized who it was, though, he was able to answer his own question. The cage was tall enough so that he was able to barely stand up. He hopped to his feet. “Wait, no!” he said, when he realized that she had opened the cage and was moving inside.
Alex had to tilt his head slightly in order to be able to stand up in the cage. He was happy to see her, of course, but at the same time, he wanted her to leave. Alex knew that Brielle had most likely seen the wolf form of a werewolf before, but he didn’t want her to see him in that form. He didn’t want her to start to think of that when she saw him.
"Brielle, I told you - I would prefer if you weren't here this evening," he said, running a hand through his disheveled hair.

She was never the one to dress up fully. Then again, she never wore things like jeans. She thought pants were something that a male human was supposed to wear. Brielle was more fond of dresses. If they were in pretty colors or covered in flower print or lace, it would be for her. She was introduced to this thing called a clothes store, and practically bought out the whole thing. When you could make money appear out of thin air, there really was no problem with material needs. Not like she needed a lot of materials. All she liked was to run around in dresses. Tonight was nothing different, with slight mud patches on the bottom of the dress, and a small dirt smear on the bridge of her nose. Her blonde hair was wild and hung down on her shoulders. She was beautiful, in a rugged child sort of way.
Gabrielle obviously didn’t listen when he told her not to close the cage door. She made sure it was locked, he wasn’t going to get her out of there. She simply smiled. “Have you ever told an Angel no before? Let me give you a hint. It doesn’t work.” She pulled a leaf out of her hair looking at him. He looked like he was already in pain, and his tie was off. He loved ties. She loved that about him. Ties to him were like dresses to her. She suddenly felt aware of the fact that she was dirty. Perhaps she should have cleaned up before then. Brielle wanted to look her best around Alex, and she didn’t know why.
“I didn’t want you to be alone, Alex. It’s never good to be alone. At least I can take the pain away from transforming.” She told the truth, there was no smile on her face. She took a step towards him. It was easy seeing as she was short enough, the top of the cage didn’t even brush the top of her head. She moved to place a hand on him, a look of sincere concern on her face. “I’m not leaving. You can’t make me. I want you to understand that even in your other form.. I’m fine with all of you Alex. Besides, I kind of need your help.” Gabrielle knew it was a bit awkward to say so when he was about to turn into his other form. “I have all these weird things happen to me.. I have trouble breathing, my cheeks turn red, I have flutters in my stomach. I don’t know whats wrong. Is my vessel dying?”

Despite his irritation that Brielle had come against what he had told her, he couldn’t help but grin when he took in her appearance. Even with the dirt that was smudged here and there, she was still very beautiful. A part of him was really glad that she had decided to come this evening. Her presence really did soothe him. He wasn’t sure if she was using her powers to ease his emotions or if it was…something else. Alex cleared his throat and reached up to adjust his tie, forgetting that he had already taken it off. “Oh,” he said, looking down at where he had thrown his tie. He buttoned the top button of his shirt back up, wanting to look as nice as he could for Brielle, despite the circumstances.
He sighed when Brielle ignored his request and shut the door behind her. It was evident that he would not be winning this particular battle. “It was a personal request. I just didn’t want you to see this,” he said, absentmindedly rolling up his sleeves and glancing away from her.
Alex shifted back slightly as Brielle moved towards him. He couldn’t move too much because of the size of the cage. “Well, that’s not necessarily true. Some people prefer to be alone,” he said, moving onto his other sleeve to roll it up. It was true, though, that she would be able to help him with the pain of transforming.
He returned his gaze to her face when she placed a hand on him. “Help? What is it?” he asked, raising his eyebrows and lowering his hands. He recognized the symptoms of which she spoke, but he wasn’t sure if his assumption was correct just yet. “Er…well, that’s doubtful. Do you experience these symptoms at a particular time?” he asked, scratching the back of his head.

She kept her hand against his shoulder, slightly staring at it deep in thought. She wasn’t exactly listening to him at that moment, her brow furrowed deep in thought. How can she convince him that everything was going to be fine? She was going to stay no matter what. She knew he didn’t want her to. He didn’t like his other form at all. In fact, she could tell that he hated it. However, Brielle wanted to show him that she liked all of him, both his human and werewolf side. So no matter what he was going to have to transform while she was there. Her hand slightly glowed, basically sending her ability into him. He should feel no pain while transforming. At least she hoped. She really never did anything like that before, so only time would tell. Brielle just wanted to help him. In truth, she would do anything for him. Was that what friends did for each other? She didn’t know, but she was learning as she went along. She really wanted to embody all aspects of being a human. Since she was no longer allowed back in Heaven, she might as well try to learn to coexist down here. What was the saying, if you can’t beat them, join them?
“Did want to me to leave? It’s not scary Alex. Other humans might. They are always afraid of something, they hate change. But I don’t mind. You don’t need to be afraid. You won’t hurt me. At least I don’t think. I’m quite new at this.” She shrugged, hoping it would put his mind at ease. She failed to realize that she probably just made things worse.
Prefer to be alone? Her heart sank, and she tried to fight the frown on her face. “Alone? Why would anyone want to be alone? I thought I was helping…” A small tear caught in her eye as she frustratingly wiped it away. “Oh great. Now I’m leaking. Do humans do this all the time? Leak everywhere?” She questioned, wiping her eyes again.
“Of course I feel that right now.. I always feel stuff when I’m around you Alex. I don’t understand it. You make me smile when you are around. I feel.. Happy.. but now my body is doing all this weird stuff and I don’t get it. I guess this is how you feel when you change, but still. I’m not leaving. You can’t make me.”

Alex did a double take when he realized that instead of listening to him, Brielle was staring at her hand that was still resting on his shoulder. He wasn’t quite sure what she was doing until her hand started to glow, which brought a smile to his face. Just the fact that she was using her power to make him feel better in his time of need made him happy, even if the power hadn’t worked at all.
“Well, no – I mean, I’m always glad when you’re around but - wait one moment,” he said, shifting his gaze back to her when he fully processed the last bit of what she said. He sputtered over his words for a moment, in a bit of shock. “S-so you’re saying that there’s a chance that I might hurt you,” he said, once he was finally able to speak again. No, no, no, this wouldn’t do at all. He thought quickly about some sort of compromise that they might come to. “Could – could you at least be on the outside of the cage? I don’t want to hurt you, Brielle,” he said, wringing his hands together.
“Oh, no, no, no, no,” he said, grabbing at his hair when he realized that she had started to cry. Oh, this was just going horribly! “No, that’s – that’s called crying. It happens to humans sometimes when they’re happy or…very sad. Oh, please don’t cry,” he said, shaking his head.
Despite the situation, Alex couldn’t help but to allow a grin to spread across his face when he heard what Brielle said. It was something t hat he had always wanted to hear – or at least the beginnings of what he wanted to hear in return. “If my diagnosis is correct, those are the symptoms one experiences when they…possibly might be…beginning to fall in love,” he said, choosing his words carefully.

Gabrielle was unsure of what to do. She thought that she could make it in this world, be among the humans. However, it seemed like day after day she became more stranger and farther away from them. It was always programmed into Angel’s heads that they were superior in every way and form to the human race. Yet at that moment, she thought that they were the superior ones. She didn’t understand this world, but they did. Humans could adapt and Brielle was having trouble doing so. Even more, she was basically giving herself away to any sort of Demon in Mystic Falls. She never hid, always telling people who she was, and she didn’t know how to fight them off. If any sort of demon was listening, she would be an easy target. She needed help to survive this world, but was afraid to ask. That was until Alex came along. She felt like she could tell him anything. She liked that about him. He was understanding. So he should understand why she was doing this.
“Well I’m not sure. I mean. Technically Angels are timeless. We can die but not by a werewolf bite. But I’m connected to this vessel. I tried leaving this body, but I can’t. It seems like I am stuck in it at the moment. I still have my angelic abilities, but at the time being I don’t know if this vessel dies, if I would too. It has something to do with Mystic Falls.” She didn’t know that this was making him feel worse. She was just trying to tell him the truth. Apparently it didn’t at all, as he was practically freaking out. He wanted to see if they could have some sort of compromise. She guess she agreed. “Fine. But I’ll only go on the other side when you start transforming.”
“Crying? Why on earth would humans want to cry. Isn’t emotions enough! There are just so many things about humans I don’t understand and it’s so… soo.. frustrating. Yes, that’s the emotion I feel. Frustrated. Frustrated about the fact that I’m stuck in this body. Frustrated at you. Yes, I’m frustrated at you. And now sort of angry. Why won’t you get it through your head Alex, that I don’t want you to be alone. I saw you when you were alone, I could feel it and I didn’t like it. I don’t want you to be alone ever ever again!” She was practically shouting at him. That was the problem with Brielle. Her emotions were amplified, and she really couldn’t control it.
She only stopped when he began to explain what was wrong with her. “I didn’t know you were a doctor..” She mumbled, confused at his next statement. Love? Is this really what love felt like? She had only known him for a couple of weeks, but it seemed like she couldn’t spend a day away from him. Brielle read about things about love at first sight but never thought it would happen to her. Just the thought of it made more angry tears drop from her eyes. “Love!.. You are right Alex.. I feel… things for you.. I don’t want to be alone. I want to be with you, so why can’t you just let me stay and be with you!”

What Brielle said next absolutely terrified Alex. He no longer saw her as an immortal angel, but more like a china doll that needed to be protected and that might be able to be snatched away from him forever with the briefest action. His hand habitually flew up to his throat to nervously adjust his tie, until he realized that it was still on the ground. “Well, that’s rather trouble news, isn’t it?” he said, clearing his throat, failing in masking the fear that had stricken him at her new.
He sighed when she agreed to his compromise. “Thank you, Brielle, thank you,” he said, clasping his hands together. This really did soothe him slightly. At least she would be a little safer than she would have been if she had decided to stay in the cage with him. He appreciated the offer, but he didn’t want her death or injury to be his fault.
A look of shock spread across Alex’s face as Brielle’s voice got louder and louder. He wasn’t concerned about anyone overhearing, as his father had helped him soundproof the basement, but he was taken off his guard. Alex had never seen Brielle so upset. He took a step back once she started full on shouting at him. “Brielle, I’m – I’m sorry,” he said, putting his hands up. He stuttered for a moment over his words, feeling terrible that he had upset her so much. “I just – Brielle, I’m – well, I suppose I’m a little ashamed. I don’t want you to think of…that when you see me. And especially now that I’ve found out that you might be temporarily mortal – I – I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want to cause you any harm at all,” he said, pulling his gaze away from her face as he poured out his feelings.
It broke his heart to see the tears pour down from her bright blue eyes. “Okay! Alright, alright,” he said, carefully reaching out to her. “You can stay,” he said, pulling her into a close embrace.

“I made you afraid.” Brielle could sense that. Mainly because his heart was beating a bit faster, and she could see a small bead or sweat on his brow. She didn’t mean for him to be afraid of hurting her. She could deal with pain. She almost died by a demon’s hand many many of times before another one of her brothers and sisters came to save her. She was a constantly failure in their eyes. Except for Castiel. She missed her brother. Where was he? “I don’t want you be afraid to hurt me. Please Alex, let me show you, prove to you that you cannot hurt me. I’ll stay in here with you, I will be able to tell if I need to get out. If you try to hurt me, I will leave and never ask this again. I’ll even stay away after every full moon. Just let me try and show you this.. please?” Gabrielle begged. She needed to make this work.
Gabrielle was attempting to calm herself down from this influx of emotions. She really needed to figure out this feelings better. Perhaps there was a book about it. She always loved books. They were the answer to everything that she didn’t know about things such as personality, social skills, and how to weave an underwater basket. But now it was his turn, his turn to pour out his feelings and be emotional. He doesn’t want to hurt her. To see him as a monster in this other form. Which made it even more frustrating to her. “Don’t you see? I like all parts of you Alex. This is what I am trying to prove.”
Brielle pushed herself out of his embrace as he said that she could stay. A part of her felt better but a part of her wanted to do something more. She had no clue what was happening, it was whatever her body, this vessel was trying to do. Gabrielle slapped him softly against the cheek. “Do not ever tell me to leave again..” She said before pressing her lips to his, trying to remember how this went in the books. She hoped she was doing it right.

Alex paused and stared at Brielle for a moment, taking a deep breath. He was thinking very hard about what she said. She was an angel, after all, and even if she was trapped in her vessel, if she still had her powers (which she said she had) then she would be able to move quickly or even teleport to a safer place. He bit his lip as he continued to stare at her and ponder. Every ounce of him wanted to say no because of the slightest chance that he might harm her in any way. “Alright…alright,” he said, finally giving in to her pleas,”As long as you’re sure that you’ll be able to get away if I – you know.”
It wasn’t so much that he didn’t believe what Brielle was saying. It was just that he found it a little hard to comprehend that she could like that part of him just as much as the other parts. “But…how? I just don’t understand,” he said, shaking his head. He knew, though, that if the tables were turned, he would feel just the same way. After all, after his father had been bitten, Alex hadn’t changed his opinion of him at all. But when it came to himself, as was common with other people, he was terrible insecure, especially when it came to his lycanthropy.
As Brielle pulled herself away from him, he felt his stomach sink, terrified that he had done the wrong thing. His fears were momentarily confirmed when Brielle slapped him. It wasn’t too hard, but it was enough to catch him off guard, causing his face to move slightly to the side. To his surprise, though, the next thing she did was scold him and pull him into a kiss. He tenderly kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her and feeling as if his heart might explode from happiness.
After a brief moment, he pulled away and ended the kiss with a smile. "Er...that was alright, wasn't it?" he asked, admittedly being a bit confused as to what just happened.

“Because the werewolf is you. You think of it as two different parts. Your human side and your werewolf side. But they are one. One person. Alex. And I like that Alex. I like you if you are in your colorful bowties, and I’ll even like you when you are all furry. Thing is. I know you won’t hurt me. Because I think you are falling in love with me too. Or am I wrong on that statement?” Brielle tilted her head watching him.
She was shocked by the kiss. It brought out even more feeling, even more emotions. She was partially sad that he had ended it. Might have been better, because she would have ended up kissing a werewolf instead. “It was just like they described it but so so much more..” She grinned, looking up at him with her body pressed against his. “Do you see Alex? You’re one true fear. Fear of being alone. I’m healing it for you. I don’t like to see you afraid or sad or something that I cannot fix because I like you happy. I want you to be happy, because that’s how I fell for you too.” With that, she quickly kissed his cheek, before unlocking the cage door to step out into the room on the other side. “No matter what.. I’ll always be by your side, even through this..” She nodded, closing the gate to lock him in it.
What neither one of them knew was the fact that they were not alone in the house. Because of her heightened emotions, Brielle failed to sense that there were intruders waiting for them. Demons. Crowley’s demons who have come to bring her to Crowley. They were just simply waiting until it was the moment where Alex was turning and couldn’t help but watch as they hurt her right in front of him. After all, Crowley only said to bring her back alive, nothing about being unhurt.

Alex supposed that Brielle was right, but he didn’t like to think that the ravenous, violent, angry, uncontrollable wolf was really him. He didn’t like to think that there was a part of him that would so willingly end someone’s life. He didn’t want to think that was him; something that could cause such terror. A grin spread across his face after she had stopped talking. He glanced to the ground momentarily. Alex nodded and looked back at Brielle.
“No, you’re completely correct,” he said with a nod,”I most certainly am falling in love with you, too.” He was relieved to not hear a rejection after those words, which seemed to always happen to him. Maybe this would be one match that would work out. “I just – I won’t be in control. I don’t know what I’ll do,” he said, making sure she knew what was about to happen. Maybe things wouldn’t be too bad and his feelings for her would affect the wolf and it would keep away from her. Maybe he was just worrying over nothing and everything would be alright. Maybe.
Brielle’s next words really hit home for Alex. He’d never really thought of it that way, but she was right. Alex was terrified of ending up alone and unhappy. He wanted to be with someone and have a family of his own, so it made perfect sense that being alone was his greatest fear. “I’ve never quite thought of it that way before,” he said, honestly, feeling a bit sad that Brielle was removing herself from her spot by his side.
After she left the cage, the pain of the transformation started to hit him. The actual transformation wasn't quite starting. The pain always hit quite a bit before it actually started. He winced slightly and collapsed against the door the cage.

What she wanted to tell him was that she wanted to make what he dreams about most to come true. She knew what they were. There was one day that they were sitting by a pond and how he wanted to have a family. Although she wasn’t quite ready for.. that.. part, she wanted to open up her heart to him. She wanted to give him her heart. Brielle just didn’t understand love. She knew what the feeling was like now. But what else after that? It made no sense to her. She only hoped that Alex would be willing to help her. Even more now that he has fallen for her too.
“You will be fine. You are locked up remember? You can’t get to me.” Brielle moved to slide her hand through the rail to cup his cheek. “I won’t leave your side. I promise. I will sit in that chair over there during the whole thing, and let you back out when you are human again okay?” She grinned, trying to soothe his fears. This wouldn’t work out if he had too many of them.
That was until he collapsed against the cage. Gabrielle was immediately by his side. “Its okay, let me try my healing. Maybe it will sooth the pain.” She placed her hand on him, but it seemed to not be working. “Oh come on! Why won’t you work!”
“Because angelic healing doesn’t work on transformations of creatures…you idiot..” A voice behind her said. Brielle turned around to face the two men, all wearing black, their eyes completely black. “Demons.. “ She mumbled, keeping her back to the cage. “What do you want demons! You cannot have him! He made no deal with you, and I am protecting him so you can’t lay a finger on him!”
“On the contray, we didn’t come for the wolf. We came for the angel who is playing human..” He smirked, grabbing by the arm and flinging her into the wall behind her, causing it to crack and her body to fumble to the ground.

Alex grinned as Brielle carefully cupped his face in her hand. Her touch was so soothing and even with his fears of hurting her, he was glad that she was there. She really did make him feel so much more at ease. He wasn’t sure if it was because of her power or because of the way he felt about her. “Okay,” he said with a nod, carefully touching her hand with his own,”Er…you’re right, you’re right. It’ll be fine.” He was more trying to convince himself than anyone else at this point. Perhaps he’d been spending a bit too much time with his sister, Zelda, who was the main worrier in the family.
Alex waited as Brielle placed her hand on him to do what she could for the pain that he was experiencing. Moments passed and the only thing that changed was the level of pain he was experiencing and the level just got higher. Her powers weren’t working. He resisted the urge to lower himself to the ground, especially when he heard the other voice. With the help of the cage’s bars, Alex pulled himself up into a straighter standing position. “Demons?” he repeated, after hearing Brielle say it.
He glanced at Brielle briefly when she stood in front of him, feeling a bit doubtful that he was the one they were after. After all, he was just an everyday werewolf, but Brielle was an angel; an angel that was trapped, a much more likely target. “Brielle!” he called out when he saw her tossed about by the demonic power.
Alex rattled the cage, ignoring the pain that was escalating slowly. It was closed tightly. Thinking that the demons would most likely be distracted by Brielle, he reached up a popped the nails out of the hinges. He mentally pushed past the pain and kicked the door out. "Don't - don't touch her," he said, slightly surprised at himself for knocking the door out as he ran to her side. He knew this was probably a stupid thing to do. After all, what could he do in this state against demons?
